This is generally because of your internet connection either being too slow to support streaming movies using Netflix or being overburdened by other applications or users on your network using up the available bandwidth. Try taking a look at the attached link to see whether your internet connection can properly handle Netflix. How fast should my Internet connection be to watch Netflix

How to stop buffering

  • 1 Allow the movie to load completely, or at least halfway, before you start to watch it to stop video buffering.
  • 2 Start the movie and then hit stop until the movie has fully or halfway loaded. As the movie is loading, you should see a yellow or gray line. The line you see will get longer as it loads.
  • 3 Close all windows that you don't need. Having too many windows open will slow the loading process.
  • 4 Resume play once the movie is at least halfway loaded or fully loaded. By this time, you should be able to enjoy the movie without the video buffering or constant starting and stopping.

How do you start a movie from the beginning after you have started watching it, and then stopped it? Even if I remove the disc and reinsert it, it starts where I stopped rather than at the beginning!

Before the movie loads select the DVD icon and press triangle. Scroll down to Start from beginning.

Also, you can go to the disk menu with Square (or menu/title if you have the remote) and go to scene selection and pick the first scene.

Or, you can fast forward through to the very end and the movie will reset.

Cannot link scenes together

there is no way you can link scenes together on your hdd handycam. one possible solution to this issue is to burn or write movies onto a dvd using the supplied software, then all movies you burned would have seemless playback.

Taking a movie

Ignore the movie mode setting on the dial. I am sure it does something, but I have no idea what. To start taking a movie, press the silver button with a red center on the back, to the right of the eyepiece. To stop the movie, press that button again. It doesn't seem to matter what mode the dial on the top is in.

Now if I can only figure out why mine got the E18 error and stopped functioning...
