Is it loging in through other browser on the same IP. If its not logging in through any browser then your IP is banned by yahoo. If you are able to login via other browser then upgrade your firefox.

I want my old version of yahoomail back. The "new" version is no good. How can I do this?

Yahoo has specifically disabled the "return to classic mail" link on the New Mail interface. This is specifically to discourage people from going back, as the old mail interface will eventually be removed completely, and all users will be forced onto the new one.

Here is the explanation page from Yahoo Help:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ymail/migrating/fromclassic/mltamnoswitch.html

However there is a possible workaround to get back to Yahoo old mail. Open your browser (Firefox 5) and go to Tool-->Options-->Content, and UNcheck the box marked "Enable Javascript." This will disable Javascript from running in that browser. Then try to log into your Yahoo mail account. You should get an error message from Yahoo that your Javascript is disabled- ignore that, and continue to log in to your Mail account. Supposedly, you will be given the option to return to the old mail interface. If that occurs, go ahead and log in. You should then go back and re-enable Javascript, or your mail, and many other websites, will not function correctly.

I keep getting Error Code 1

1) Clear your cookies and temporary internet files (AKA cache), exit from the browser, then restart the browser.
2) If you are a home user and do not pay for a static IP address, get a different dynamic IP address; do
[Start] > [Run] > cmd > ipconfig
{{write down the IP address, then disconnect from the Internet with}}
ipconfig /release
{{wait a few minutes and then reconnect with}}
ipconfig / renew
{{compare the new IP address to the old to make sure your IP address changed, then try again}}

If you are an office user, try someone else's PC which will have a different IP address.

3) Log into Yahoo through a different country's server. I.e. if you usually log into Yahoo via http://login.yahoo.com/ or http://mail.yahoo.com/ then tryhttp://login.korea.yahoo.com/ or http://nz.yahoo.com/
4). Access your Yahoo mailbox via http://wap.oa.yahoo.com/
5) Use a different browser. Use Firefox (free download from mozilla.com) if you normally use IE or Safari.
6) If you have a web accelerator (mostly an affliction of dial-up users) then try turning it off.
7) If you use a proxy server (mostly a corporate user thing) then try turning it off.

I dont want want to retype my log in name each time i come to Yahoo mail.

if you dont want to type in your login name and password each time you come to yahoo mail the best option is to use password remembering feature of the browser (but donot use that on a public computer) for this just press the remember button when prompted (it will be better if you use mozilla firefox or inernet explorer8).
another option if you are a frequent user (and using yahoo only from your computer) then you can check the "keep me signed in" checkbox.

Looks like you have no/slow internet connection. Check your internet connection first and then use faster browser like mozilla firefox and then go to yahoo mail classic. Hope this helps.

Hi there, try using google chrome. You can download this for free. alternative browsers include Mozilla firefox, netscape navigator, apple safari (for macs), etc. Am sure it would work better. Please don't jump into any new software as you should give them time to fix their glitches. Please keep me posted.
Kind regards

I go to my yahoo page and sign in. then to yahoomail but the mail never comes up

IF YOUR YAHOO MAIL IS TAKING AGES TO LOAD
HOW DO I CLEAR MY BROWSER'S CACHE
1. Close all browser windows and open a new one.
2. Clear your browser's cache including temp files, cookies, and history. If you do not know how then follow the instructions on the help page for the specific browser and browser version you are using: http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browse…
3. Close that browser window and reboot your computer. Open a new browser window and sign into your Yahoo Mail here: http://mail.yahoo.com/
4. If you are still having a problem with the website, try an alternative browser such as Firefox. It is always good to have an alternative browser so you can test and check to see if your problem is browser specific. Here is the link to get Firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ie.…

Cannot open yahoo mail at all... says internet explorer cannot open this window... help!

Is it just this page that is affected? Can you open other web pages? Try logging out of Yahoo Mail and signing back in (if you can). Can you access that web page via a different browser (Firefox, Opera, Safari, etc.)? Also, try clearing your cookies, browsing history and temporary files and then go to that page again.
