This vac is 2 years old and has been working fine up to now. Took off belt and checked for debris in the area, but found none.
First check to see if the gray plate that you removed to access the brushbar is back on the machine properly. Also, make sure that the long black strip on the plate is on properly and is not making it harder to push the machine.
Lastly, you are able to remove what is called a "ropeseal" from the bottom of the machine which will allow more air to flow underneath the machine. This won't affect the suction power of the machine.
To remove the ropeseal, take the gray soleplate off again and have a look at what would be the inside of the plate - you'll see a long, thin piece of rubber/foam that looks like a rope/string sitting in a groove all the way around the openings that the brushbar bristles stick through. Remove the seal and keep it in a safe place. Your machine will be easier to push now.
