The simplest and quickest way is to take the Cmos battery out.
Wait 10-15 min. Then re-insert this should put the system back to defaults. You may also have to Rest the Cmos.
Find the Cmos reset jumper on the Motherboard. Jumper should be on pins 1 and 2 (default). Put jumer on pins 2 and 3. Do this with the Power off and plug pulled for outlet. wait 10-15 sec and place the jumper back on pins 1 and 2. Plug machine in and restart.
Image here for reference. (I'm using this image alot today!) :)

MY UNIDEN 4 CAMERA HOME SECURITY CAMERS MONITOR HAS LOCKED ME OUT AS I CANT RECALL MY PASSWORD

If you have forgotten your password for your Uniden 4 camera home security system and are unable to access the system, there are a few steps you can try to reset the password:
  1. Check the user manual for your specific system model to see if it provides instructions for resetting the password. Some Uniden security systems may have a reset button or a specific reset procedure outlined in the manual.
  2. Contact Uniden customer support for assistance. They may be able to provide you with a default password or walk you through the process of resetting the password.
  3. If the above steps do not work, it may be necessary to perform a factory reset on the system. This will erase all settings, including the password, and restore the system to its default configuration. To perform a factory reset, you may need to locate the reset button on the system or follow a specific reset procedure outlined in the user manual.
It is important to note that performing a factory reset will erase all settings and may require you to set up the system again from scratch. It is recommended to carefully consider this option and, if possible, try the other steps first.

I have a HP EliteBook 840 model number I need to restore to original settings I cannot get past the lock screen with password with password password

Why would you need to have a work around on a password for a laptop you supposedly own? Did you forget the password?
You also don't need a password to do a system restore to factory stock.
I don't provide password work arounds due to the fact some questions are for items the asker is potentially not the item owner..

My computer is locked up

You can try doing a system restore by pressing f11 as soon as the computer starts up... otherwise, you can just perform a system recovery (which will restore the computer back to factory settings and will result to data loss).. If you are not ok with that then maybe you can try password recovery software found here. Password cracking is not guaranteed to work though.

Acer aspire password to restore to factory settings

well if its the boot password you have hope,ALT+F10 on start is supposed to get you to the recovery manager,if you cant get there restore factory default,if its the windows operating system password, you can try to type administrator in the user name and leave the password blank, sometimes your able to get in on the built in administrator acct.,if that doesnt work,,its not easy you can download password recovery programs and try that,if its the boot lock password you can take it apart and remove the bios battery on the mother board, remove main battery ,unplug power set something on the power button heavy enough to hold it down and wait, the longer the better, one day ,maybe two, reassemble and it should be back to factory default, if its under warranty send it to acer, nowif your able to get past the boot password and the windows password is still holding you up you can one-time boot to a windows disc and reinstall new copy, warning! you will loose everything on the computer, but at least you can use it agian hope this helps, aloha from maui todd0708
