Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

Our aim throughout the recent voluntary recall has been to retrieve, fix, clean and return all affected AM04 and AM05 heaters. This is free of charge to affected Dyson owners. Our engineers have developed a fix, and we're also reissuing the 2-year warranty as a mark of our confidence in our technology.

If you have additional concerns you're welcome to get in touch: http://www.dysonrecall.com

How Do I restart the rheem 81v30d

http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-light-gas-water-heater.html

Rheem does not post service manuals.
One reason is that water heaters have changed rapidly last few years, and same model might have different features because Rheem experiments to see which products work after they are sold.

Calls to Rheem for DIY help are largely useless since they want you to call local installer or technician... who will sell you a new heater for more money.
Rheem wants to end DIY repairs since doing it yourself saves you money... which means Rheem, and Rheem-loyal service companies make less money.

Water heater not making hot water

1) Electric water heater can be repaired, no need for new one.
Copy following links:
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/Water-heater-ther-ele-600.jpg
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-troubleshoot-electric-problems-with-water-heater.html#veryhot

2) Ordinary homeowner can turn 6-year electric tank into a lifetime tank.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-maintain-water-heater.html

3) If you replace heater, then buy inexpensive tank-type from local box store, and use coupon or offer 10% off. Read the product manual.
Avoid tankless at all costs unless you are rich.
No need to buy expensive water heater on the promise of thicker insulation or higher energy factor, or 'lifetime elements' or 'advanced technology', any other slicker promotion aimed at folks with the promise of a golden rainbow of money-saving-bliss if only you would spend more money. All costs are energy. Expensive water heaters do not pay back, and 1 repair will dissolve all anticipated savings. And expensive heaters can never be maintained to last as long as ordinary tank-type electric.

Mastertemp 400 heater

Of course there is no question here, so let's parse that line.

My heater is dead: (okay, call a funeral home)
No lights: (get fresh lights, candles...whatever)
No nothing: (double negative, meaning something)
I need help: (psychiatric, grade school level writing?..)

1) Is there power to your heater? If so, there are lots of protective switches to prevent the motor/compressor from starting and self destructing due to loss of refrigerant because of a leak. The "no lights" worries me that there may be a logic board (if your model has one) that is fried. My suggestion is to fill in the pool with sand and send the repair money to me...

I have an PATTON PUH 9000, it works when it want too on/off never really heating anything. As there is a RECALL on this unit, where do i get it fixed or my money back?

Here's a link to the site that has a phone number to call concerning the recall of last December.
Use it to determine if your model Patton heater was included in the recall.

There was also a recall in 1985.

Is it possible to install a small on-demand hot water heater in lieu of an in-line heater for a jacuzzi, so the pump will circulate the water through it? Is there a benefit to this?

Hello, I not sure if your having a problem with your current in-line heater and can't get to it to repair or replace it but, this is the most effective way of heating your tub water without adding water and I say this assuming that the heater is 220 volt and not 115volt. An on demand electric water heater would cost more money to operate then your current unit. A gas on demand heater would not function properly and would fail to provide the hot water you need. If you install a gas on demand water heater and use it to just fill your tub with hot water then you would save money in the long run and be able to use it for your whole house. Hope this information is helpful. If you have more questions please feel free to ask.
