SOURCE: LG dryer is making a very bad noise (high pitched

Hi,
Sounds like a guide wheel... first the bearing started to go bad, then it actually locked up or came apart.
The wheel(s) will need to be replaced.

You can find new parts by doing a search for "appliance parts"
Then enter your model number into one of the sites and look for your part from the menu.
Check a couple of different sites to be sure that your getting the best pricing/

I hope that this will help you to solve your problem!

Thanks for using Fixya!!

My 1999 oldsmobile alero 3.4 v6 smells like gas when driving and when sitting still and running and there is a high pitch type of noise. what can it be.

Probably 2 different problems. The fuel smell may be a small leak from the fuel line connector or fuel injector that is leaking. The high pitch squeal is probably a bearing noise.

Car is making a high pitch squeal some times when driving, noise gets worse when I take foot off the gas pedal. Also has odor of boiled eggs at times. Is this a tranny problem or emission system failure or...

The high pitch squeal ia most likely the serpentine belt on the front of the engine you can buy some belt dressing from the part store and put it on there and fix that or some soap will work also, the belt may also need to be tightened. As for the egg smell if it smells like eggs it's the catylitic converter doing it's job and is normal, although you should not be able to smell it inside the car when driving you may have an exhaust leak and could be very dangerous carbon monoxide exposure.

Dryer works but makes high pitch noise

This probally the idler pulley, drum rollers, or a bearing hard to say until you take it apart and take a look. There is a good video on checking and replacing these parts at www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html
Hope this helps

When we start our dryer it makes a loud noise as if it struggles to get the drum moving. Once the dryer is moving it has no trouble moving, but every time we start it, the noise happens again even if i was...

Is this noise like a loud buzz or hum? If it is it may be the motor draging
and can't quite get going. bearing getting worn.
Also check drum rollers or glides and the idler pully one of them may
be dragging if they are you might put a little high temp oil on it.
Hope this helps..

Maytag electic dryer noise

First, pop up the top of the dryer -- use a large slotted screwdriver under each corner of the top. There will be screws holding the front of the dryer -- take these out and take the front off. The squealing is coming from roller bushings which need lubricating. Apply machine oil to all the axles/bushings -- this most likely will stop the squealing -- and don't forget to unplug it first.
