Ffbd1821mw
Hi Dan, this is AP!
I understand you are experiencing some trouble with the lights on your Frigidaire dishwasher. On your particular model, FFBD1821MW, if there has been a power failure, then the "Hi-Temp Wash" and "Heat Dry" LEDs will flash. In order to stop the LED lights from flashing press Start/Cancel. This process should relieve your concern regarding the LED lights flashing. I hope this information proves helpful to some degree.
Best of luck,
SOURCE: Status Lights Blinking
status lights blinking is trying to tell you something in the dishwasher is bad,go to your owners manual to see the fault codes first, then you can try turning the breaker off 30 seconds an on to see if it resets its self,if that does not work i think you might have a bad mother board,thanks-mike

QuietGuard3: Clean light flashing 7 times? Press Heated Dry, press Normal Wash, then press Heated Dry again and press Normal Wash again (that's 4 button-presses) and that should fix it.

Thanks Munkee,
I started having this problem, blinking green light, three days ago with my Kenmore QG3 and finally was tired of not being able to use my dishwasher. I've had it for three years with no problems until 3 days ago. You solution, use of commands, really helped and no money wasted on tech assistance. Thanks again!!

you'll need to enter a diagnostic mode, press in this order, hi-temp(sani-rinse)----heated dry--hitemp---heated dry... all lights should light, close door and let cycle for about a min, after press the cancelbutton, you should be good to go, the buttons on your model may read slighty different names, if this "toggle of buttons" does not work, you can remove thelower access panel and htere willl be a tech sheet/trouble shoooter behind the panel, in there it will explain how to enter diag/test mode

you may have inadvertently set the lock on function..
check this out from your manual...
Lock On
Use the Lock On to prevent unintended use of the dishwasher
between cycles. You can also use the lock feature to prevent
unintended cycle or option changes during a cycle.
When LOCK ON is lit, all buttons are disabled.
NOTE: The dishwasher door can be opened while the controls
are locked. However, the lock must be turned off and the Start/
Resume button pressed to resume the cycle.
To turn on the Lock
Press and hold HEATED DRY for 4 seconds. LOCK ON glows.
If you press any pad while your dishwasher is locked, the light
flashes 3 times.
NOTE: If the Heated Dry option is selected, the light will
temporarily turn off until Lock On glows.
To turn off the Lock
Press and hold HEATED DRY for 4 seconds. The light turns off.
hope this helps,
best of luck,
ttfn
Hi
If light is blinking then it may be an
issue with heater circuit, door switch or the thermal fuse, please reset the power to
the dishwasher. After, 5 minutes check if you are still getting the same error.
If yes, then it is a water heating fault. To resolve this error try pressing
this reset sequence-- Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or High Temp - Air
Dry - High Temp - Air Dry or Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry, Hi Temp Scrub,
energy saver dry or High Temp Wash-Heated Dry-High Temp Wash-Heated Dry.
Now let the unit run for 2-3 minutes and then you press the Cancel/Drain button
and allow it to completely drain and reset. If this doesn't work then it's an
issue with the thermal fuse located on the control or the door switch that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps... Please post
back if you need more information.

Hi
If clean light is blinking then it may be an
issue with heater circuit, door switch or wash pump, please reset the power to
the dishwasher. After, 5 minutes check if you are still getting the same error.

this reset sequence-- Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or High Temp - Air

Now let the unit run for 2-3 minutes and then you press the Cancel/Drain button
and allow it to completely drain and reset. If this doesn't work then it's an
issue with the wash pump not pumping the water past the heater efficiently or
due to lack of water to heat. Please make sure that heater is not open
circuited and is heating the water efficiently. You'll have to check the heater
using a multimeter; the meter should read between 3000 to 3300 ohms (Use
multimeter on Rx1 ohm setting). If heater is fine then make sure water pressure
is optimum and fill valve is working fine. Hope this helps... Please post
back if you need more information.
