Get my dish reciever, sony home theatre, and 55in sanyo tv to work together

If your TV and sound system both have a Digital Optical Out/In you can use a TOSLink cable (an optical cable) to connect your TV directly to your sound system, and remove the connection between the DISH receiver and the sound system. As long as your sound system is on the right input, all sound accompanying the picture on screen will go to your sound system. Most TVs also have an option to turn off the internal speakers, if not just reduce your volume all the way down to avoid that weird ghost sound effect. If you use your sound system all the time for volume, you can program the sound system to your DISH remote's AUX, and even set the remote so that it only sends volume and mute commands to the sound system (that way you don't have to dance between sat, tv, and aux all day, just leave it in sat mode).

To program your remote to the sound system, follow the instructions on the sheet you got with the remote (yeah, right like anyone kept that) http://www.mydish.com/support/remotecodes you can use that link to program your remote. You can also use the learning mode if your remote has a little glossy square on the top left side and you have the original remote to the sound system. (Learning mode can be gleaned from the remote manual Remote Control Manuals)

After programming the aux device, and verifying that it changes the volume up, down, and mute, THEN:

Hold AUX until light blinks 3 times, hit pound (#), Volume Up, 0 (Zero), pound (#), SAT, then test to make sure it goes up and down.

Need Dish Network Code for Sony DAVHDX275 Audio System

Refer to page 82 in your Dish Network User's Guide......(Make sure Sony system is powered on and in DVD mode with a disc in the player).  Point Dish remote at Sony box -  Hold Aux until all buttons light up at top....press 2 - then STAR button* and then POWER button - then press the up arrow key repeatedly until Sony turns off - press # key to lock in code.
It took me awhile to get it to work....it will only work power, mute, and volume - not dvd play functions. Refer to page 85 to make the Dish remote control the Sony box volume by default.
Good luck.

Cannot find a device code for ATT Uverse DVR cable box

1. Release the volume controls and assign them to the AUX: A. Press and hold AT&T Button and OK Button at the same time, release both buttons. All the mode keys will flash twice indicating you're in programming mode.
B. Enter 955 on the remote keypad, the AT&T key will flash twice indicating a correct entry
C. Press the mode key you want to alway receive the volume commands - I assigned mine to the AUX mode button. The mode key chosen will flash three times indicating success. Volume commands will now be delivered to the AUX button regardless of the mode you are in. 2. Assign the AUX to the BOSE system: A. Make sure the Boze remote receiver is powered on (green light is on). B. Press and hold the AUX Button and OK Button at the same time, release both Buttons. All the mode keys will flash twice indicating you're in programming mode. C. Enter the 4 digit BOSE code on the keypad, I used BOSE Remote Code 4000.
D. The AUX Button will flash three times indicating correct entry.

Locked up

Reset
Firmware Upgrade
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

I'm sure you went to Control Panel, opened device manager, and and checkeck for any yellow checks for your
sound, video and game controllers. If there are none, your system is go. Then go to your audio manager on control panel, and set it up for whatever speaker configuration you have. I have realtec audio manager. This step is a must for configuring—you choose whether your laptop will use its own speaks or use your external speakers—you have to turn off the internal speakers and turn on the external. Did you forget?
