Your computer needs to be able to read an sd card. pull out your card and put it in an adapter this will allow you to link to the computer and download pics. Go to computer to search for my pics. You should be able to view pics in this screen.
Yes - when editing images, always copy them to your computer and do it there. Do not copy the images back to the card, as the camera will be unable to read them - as you have discovered.
When you hook your camera to your computer you are accessing it like a disk and changes made to "files" are saved to the disk. A common change is to rotate the image so it views correctly on the computer screen for images you turned the camera to take a portrait oriantation shot. That change is saved to the image on disk, then the camera can no longer display it because it is not the right "dimensions" for the camera (it is rotated)
What happens on your camera is related to the pc modifying the image file, hence the camera can't read it as they use different formats to write and read the images.
Can you see the pictures stored on your father's camera on the PC? Because if that's not possible, then the camera has an internal problem and you might have to consider taking it to a repair shop, or even consider buying a new one.
The LCD screen may display a FILE ERROR message
when trying to view a still image on the camera if the image was
rotated, modified and overwritten using editing software on a computer.
To play images you have taken on the camera, it is recommended that you
do not make any changes to the original image files.
Sounds like the card has died. unfortunatly this can happen. and could be caused by a number of things including static.
you can maybe try a disk repair in windows.
hit your windows key and press r at the same time. in the command line type CMD and hit enter, it will open up a DOS window. type CHKDSK ?: /f where teh question mark is, is the drive letter that windows has assigned the card when you insert it. if it is an error that is repairible this might work.
The easiest way is to put the phone's memory card in the PC's card reade and place pics in the image folder on the card. BUT, beware that the phone can read only upto a certain resolution. If your pics on the computer are of greater resolution than that then the phone will not be able to read them.
Hi.. I think you have solved the problem yourself... replace the adapter with a memory stick... You have eliminated the micro sd card as bad... now try a new known good memory stick..
because your system does not support that picture type.
images have so many types.
check which type of picture is.
and if you cant open that pic u can open it into another format also
make sure that file should be image.
a virus is present in your pc, infecting the memory card. I suggest that whenever your card leaves the camera and used in any computer or lab, always format the card in your camera not in pc cause this will gonna erase all the pictures including the virus. virus in cf cards wont destroy your camera but it will make it operates like crazy. Make it a standard operating procedure to always format card inside the camera. Photolab will be able to read even a corrupted card.
