SOURCE: configuring the usb

First, make sure that the device is working properly on the device manager of your computer. Then, set the wireless settings of the router to the wireless adapter. You can use the wireless utility built in to windows (XP and Vista) or the utility that came with your adapter to fix that.

Normally, the limited or no connectivity may mean that there is a wireless security set on your network and that the network key is set incorrectly. If you are using Vista or XP, try to remove the preferred networks and reconnect once again with the correct key.

Hope this helps

Your router has an lan address or IP. Something like 192.168.1.1. This is what you must connect to. Each of the machines you want to connect must have (in this example) an IP number between 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.225. As long as your machines all have a unique IP they should all connect to your router. Your modem will have a gateway and typically this will be something like 10.0.0.1. So setup for one machine may look like this [192.168.1.3 subnet 255.255.255.0

To find these setting, click on your lan connection, select "properties" and choose "Internet Protocol TCP/IP". Here you will see these settings. Your router guide will give you these settings, make sure you get them from your router guide.

SOURCE: I'm using TP-LINK TD-W8101G ADSL

Unfortunately, you can't use two routers together in that manner. You must have a device in between them such as a switch or bridge or you'll have to disable the DHCP server settings in the second router. The second router then pretty much becomes a switch you may then use all the ports on the second router with the exception of the WAN port it must remain unoccupied. However, if you need wireless connectivity in another location far away from your main router then your only solution would be to indeed purchase an actual access point/bridge device

I can't install

You need to read the manual here.

http://www.tp-link.com/Resources/document/TD-W8960N_V3_User_Guide.pdf

It needs power and the router plugging into the line via the line socket.

A Ethernet cable needs to plugged into one of the WAN ports to configure the router, the other end needed to be plugged into a pc.

We don't know how to connect the router

Theencryption key secures your data from unauthorized access. The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key. The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings. To connect to your wireless router, configure the router'swireless settings ie SSID, plus the WPAor WPA2 encryption key and then configure wireless cards in the laptops and orcomputers with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktopcomputers can communicate with your wireless router.
