My DKE is acting up and now opens 2 of my doors with one code

I have 3 doors with LiftMaster belt drive openers and one DKE. For 7 years everything worked fine but all of a sudden one of my doors is opening when I punch in another door's code. Obviously I've always had 3 different codes for each door. Today I punched in the code for door 3 and door 3 opened but so did door 1. The correct code for door 1 still works for door 1, but it now also opens to the code for door 3. So to summarize, code 1 now opens door 1, code 2 now opens door 2 but code 3 now opens doors 1 and 3. How do I reprogram/fix? Thanks, Carlos

If you press and hold the smart/learn button for 6 seconds on opener number 1 it will erase the memory and neither code will open it. Now just program it for button number one and you should be set. If you have remotes for door number 1 you will have to reprogram them also.

The gears are all the same with the exception of the belt drive units that have a different top sprocket , you can find the part # on the internet simply by putting in the model # of your opener and identifying whether you have a belt drive or chain drive machine , you can also find the part on Ebay by putting sears/liftmaster or chamberlain sprocket gear assembly in the description ....All 3 of those models are made by Liftmaster being the main Brand ! Liftmaster manufactures the sears craftsmen for Sears and also goes under the chamberlain brand name that k mart and Home depot and Lowes sells ! Liftmaster is the worlds largest manufacturer of garage door openers and all 3 machines are interchangeable with their parts ! Hope this helps you Sincerely Glenn

HBW0777 Liftmaster garage door opener will not close unless wall button is held down. Weirdly enough it only does this in early fall to early spring for last 3 years. What can I do to fix it?

Have the wiring checked out for proper voltage and ground, when it is acting up. The seasonal change may affect the ground rod, it may not be well grounded.

I purchased my home 7 years ago and it was already equipped with a liftmaster door opener. Last month, I started having difficulty opening and closing the door. Sometimes it opens, often it does not. I...

Remove the cover from the motor unit and check the drive gear. It is a white nylon gear just in front of the motor. It will be obvious if it is bad. A new gear kit comes with instructions. The part number if 41A2817.

I have 2 liftmaster door openers and 1 387lm Wireless keypad.can I program it to open either door?

To program that thing you need to locate the smart/learn button on the back of the opener near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then walk over and key in any 4 digit code you like and then press 0. The zero acts as the enter button on other keypads.

The door on my read write drive won't open but I was just using it earlier and all was fine

Try opening the drive with the emergency exit, there is a small hole next to the eject button, insert a pin or needle to open the tray with that, in most cases the drive tends to act like this after 2-3 years of use. not an error with the drive but the belt on the motor that opens the tray gets loose.

Installed Chamberlain Whisper Drive but door slides backwards

It sounds like you may have a spring problem. Release the door from the opener and see how it acts manually. Open it as far as the opener does and then see what happens when you release it. Also the weight of the door should give you a clue.

Chamberline 1/2 hp belt drive opener that stops opening

It sure sounds like a broken spring. Sometimes the break can be difficult to see. How heavy is the door to lift manually. This will give you a good idea.

Door opens about 18" and stops

Check the drive belt for tightness. Check for a bent or obstructed track. Overhead door openers have a safety clutch built in in case something or someone gets into the path.

Liftmaster security + model 1265 NOT CLOSING PROPERLY

wbuero, I had same problem two weeks. The door springs weaken over time and may need to be tightened - check opening force manually. Manufacturer also recommended reviewing install guide to be sure opener arm is attached at proper angle. The opener on my professionally installed door was not connected properly. It that doesn't work, the opener drive train or door track/wheels may need maintenence.
