H pavilion dv5 2134ca touch pad

The light on my upper left touch pad is now red, and with this it seems to be frozen or turned off. I read a suggestion to double click that area which did not work. I also tried to find the button "under the amber flower" but my computer does not appear to have this. what can I do?

The button you are looking for should actually be right on your touchpad. It's in the center at the top of the pad. Just press it and your light should go blue

SOURCE: How to repair the left click button on HP Pavilion ZT1135

Hey,
I had the same problem. It is pretty easy to fix. You have one of two options to follow.
1) Push down moderately hard on the left mouse button. After 2 mins or so, and the cap should back on to the button on the bottom
2) if number 1 doesn't work get a needle or pin and lift the left mouse button off. Then just apply very little, not even a drop, maybe half of a drop to the button and apply the cap back on and push down.

SOURCE: UNABLE TO DOUBLE CLICK USING THE TOUCH PAD

you can solved this problem by following these: 1. Find the icon of your pointing device in the taskbar (mine is synaptics pointing device) 2. point to the icon and right-click on it. 3. check if "Tap To Click" option is checked. 4. if not, then click on "tap to click" option so that it will be checked. 5. try now to double click using the touch pad...and you will be okey now.

My ph pavilion dv7 touch pad's light is off, what must I do to get it on again?

Looking at a picture of the laptop, it is like most HP computers. There is a button directly above the touch pad. This is your on/off button. Press it and wait a few seconds, and the light should turn blue.

My mouse is frozen on my hp dm4 and the orange light in the left hand corner is not on, nor will it turn on when double tapped

First thought is look at the top of the touch pad, there is a button. Push this button once and see if the mouse works. HP put this button on to deactivate the mouse if needed.

If this does not work, plug in an external mouse and see if it works, if not do a hard boot on the computer and try the mouse again.

A red light comes on my hp touchpad and I loose all control, and can't get it back. How do i re-gain controll of my touch pad?

It shows that you have accidentally shut off the touch pad. In the upper left corner of the touch pad is a dimple/circular depression. Tap it twice, the light will go out and normal touch pad function will return.
