I have to ask this question of you, just to make sure this is not an issue. Are you using a factory new ink cartridge? Please consider the following: If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges. They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead. If you are using factory new cartridges, then please call the manufacturers Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges Don
Sounds like your cyan print head is clogged. You can try to get it flowing yourself by rubbing the print head with a wet paper towel. If you press the print head on a dry paper towel you should see three distinct lines of color. If you still don't see the cyan, try letting the print head rest on the wet paper towel on a surface that ink can be cleaned up from or one you don't care about staining. If the cyan still won't flow, you should go back to where you purchased it and return it for a new one.

Replacing the print cartridges
Turn on the HP Officejet, and lift open the print-carriage access door.
The print carriage will move into the access area.
Figure 1: Opening the print-carriage access door
After the carriage stops moving, push down on the top of the print cartridge to release it, and then pull it toward you out of the slot.
Figure 2: Removing the print cartridgeNOTE:
It is normal to see ink buildup in the print cartridge slots.
Remove the new print cartridge from the packaging and gently remove the plastic tape by using the pink pull tab.
CAUTION:
Do not touch the copper contacts or ink nozzles. Install the cartridge immediately upon removing the tape to prevent ink from drying in the nozzles.
Figure 3: Removing the plastic tape
Push the new print cartridge into the appropriate slot at a slight angle, until it clicks into place.
CAUTION:
Do not attempt to push the cartridge straight into the slot. It must slide in at a slight angle.
Figure 4: Inserting the print cartridge
Close the print-carriage access door.
Aligning the print cartridges
The HP Officejet will prompt you to align the print cartridges every time you install a new print cartridge to assure high-quality output.
When the message displays, press OK .
The HP Officejet will print an alignment page.
Place the alignment page face down on the left front corner of the glass with the top of the page facing the left side.
Press OK .
The HP Officejet will align the print cartridges and display Alignment Complete .
I know this sounds dumb, but alignment pages use the color cartridge to make black print. Are you sure your black cartridge is working? and what does the windows test page come out looking like?
