if the HDD LED is blinking and then you hear a logon sound if no Windows password set the screen is the problem.Often the issue is the graphics chip is at fault.Without more details - make, model, history and windows version not able to assist further
First try to start pc in safe mode,by normally Pressing F8 key when windows starts up If you have done then update your graphic drivers just go the site of your Laptop manufacture. Once there enter the model number OR service tag of the laptop then request driver (usually found in the web site's "Support Section"). There you should be able to find all the drivers for your model laptop -Return BIOS settings to their default levels. If -If this didn't help you then simply get the Intel software partner Reginout to fix all the errors and registry issues which causing blue screen
You are lucky that this issue is operating system based from what it seems, try to work the recovery option, let it be that way for hours. It will move at some point.
Did you have a AV installed? If not it is crucial to have an anti-virus software installed on PC.
If all the efforts appear fruitless, contact Samsung; it could be a hardware issue as well... although they are less frequently observed.
The problem you defined shows that the windows gone corrupt, the cause may be due to hard drive or just data lose.
The quick remedy is re-installtion of operating system, hopefully it will works otherwise i am afraid the hard drive may physically damaged. which will also repaired if shock is low intensity.
Check the ribbon-cable between the motherboard and the LCD screen. It is not transmitting 100% of the video-information.
Be sure that it is not "crinkled", and that it is tightly connected at each end.
If you can see everything when you shine a light on it, it's most likely a 'backlight' going bad. These are somewhat easily repaired, but can be expensive. Good luck!
Hi,
Pressing F8 during startup, just after the BIOS screen, will give you the safe mode menu, including the option to create a '%windir%/ntbtlog.txt' bootlog file
or you can try to restore xp: Description of the Windows XP Recovery Console: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;314058
