It could be many things. If you just bought the scooter, it could be a loose wire in the electrical system. Did you check the battery terminals to make sure they are tight?
Yup. The alarm beeps if you have the charger plugged in and turn on the key even if the battery is flat. The charger won't bring a totally discharged battery up to full charge. You can charge the battery individually using an automotive style battery charger. The charger should NOT be the automatic type. It may take some time to recover a flat battery. Charge it until you can see at least 10 volts on the battery. The scooter charger can then finish up the charge. If after you go through all this and the batteries will not take a charge, then it's battery time.
could be several problems. most common is bad plug if there is any damage at the plug have it replaced. next is the harness where the charger connects to the batteries possible bad connection last is charger failed. you may need to contact amigo for a service location in your area 1-800-my-amigo
Check the batteries, charger, state of battery charge. Have the batteries load tested. Replace the batteries if over 2 years old and they load test bad
Hi. Sounds like there is no connection between the charger and the batteries. The charger uses the voltage in the batteries to regulate the charge. If the charger is not connected then the charger will not operate at all.
The fault can be a broken wire in the charger plug, or faulty charger socket on the scooter. Can be caused by faulty battery connectors, or wiring from the charger socket to the batteries.
Try moving the charger plug in the socket while the charger is operating. These sockets sometimes wear and dont contact properly.
The best way is get someone with a multi-meter and try and trace the fault for you.
Good luck. Neil.
