Question about Adaptec Computers & Internet
Proximity switch on door not working
Posted by Anonymous on
I took the wires loose from the drive circuit card. Using the ohm meter to check for a broken wire, all three checked out fine. I then rigged up a set of jumpers that allowed me to jump across the terminals on the circuit board from the common to the two neutrals. Sure enough the drive motor works perfectly both forward & reverse. The magnetically sensetive transister type switch was the culprit. I have replaced the switch & it works great. I wish I could identify the transistor & only buy it & solder it in.

I dont know what the inviroment is but it sounds like a plant of some sort, the inviroment is important and the electrical service is important. There could be serveral issues here. I would check the electrical service for phase balance and investigate harmonics created through electronics.

SOURCE: reverse lights not working
Not 100% sure on that particular vehicle but many have safety neutral & back-up switch as one on transmission. Maybe dealer or part store can look up part & tell you if one switch in your case does both.

Remember, the leak is detected at the bottom. Follow it to it's source.
Just like a roof leak, the water shows up where the roof meets the wall but the leak is way up above.
