Hi i had bought my philips go gear 1gb 3 yrs back right now i am facing a problem i just format the go gear drive from my pc and now when i load the go gear with some music it doesn't show the contents...

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable tothe MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track. Click on this link for instruction on converting musicfiles to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

I have a PDF ebook that I put in the Coby but it won't show up in my mp3 player!

In order to see and read pdf's on mp3 players it must support a pdf reader. I must be put in the correct folder and the the pdf version (of the ebook) can't be newer than the pdf reader else it won't read it. Coby doesn't like pdf format as one that is automatically read by the player.

I just got my Coby Mp3, and i plugged the USB into my computer and the autoplay screen that is supposed to come on my computer, hasnt.

Does you computer detect a new device when you plugged the Coby MP3 player?
If Coby MP3 player has cd driver, better to install it to your pc. Some computer/laptop doesn't detect autoplay when new USB device plug-in

Files show fifferent on computer

Some of the files are not being read to do incompatibility issues.

- if there is a specific folder music should be in, put them all there (this includes subfolders)
- if it only supports certain lengths and characters, rename the mp3"s not being seen
- try recoding the files if they don't work. maybe some are different and are unsupported. An example would be a wma file if your mp3 player doesn"t support the wma format.

Rca wont work!

Couple of solutions. If I read correctly it won't turn on. What you need to do is plug the USB into the computer. It shouldn't turn on. What you do is hold the Play button and wait a few seconds. If that doesn't work hold the Power Button. If that doesn't work you'll have to find another way to turn it on. I also read that you lost a folder, if you are successful on turning on, look for the folder first. If it is not their go to a friends house a try downloading it. Bring a thumb drive a bring the folders to you house and on your computer and it should work. Although you might have to replace the music, but it should be there.
