Check
the system requirements on the Bluetooth dongle. If your system does not fit
all the requirements, the device is not going to work. The requirements for the
Bluetooth dongle are printed in the user manual and packaging. You may compare
this to what is running on the computer by clicking "Start,"
"Control Panel" and "System." This displays the hardware
running on the computer.
Disconnect
the Bluetooth dongle, restart the computer, then plug it back into a USB port.
If you power on the computer with the dongle already instead, the system may
not detect the equipment. Restarting the computer and performing this action
helps correct the problem.
Remove
the Bluetooth dongle from the USB port and plug it into a different connection.
Some USB ports fail to detect certain computer hardware. Changing the
connection port fixes this.
Install the driver on the provided driver
installation CD. Without the driver, the computer is unable to detect and use
the dongle. Insert the driver installation CD into the disc drive of the
computer, then follow the on-screen steps to install the driver onto the
system.
