You don't need an installation CD to setup the Belkin wireless router.
Basically the wireless router is configured/secured by opening a browser and entering the wireless router's URL configuration address. To secure and set up encryption on your wireless router please follow my instructions - click on this link :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security The configuration URL for the Belkin is http://192.168.2.1 and the default PW = admin
If this URL doesn't work try http://192.168.0.1
Default login = Admin
Default PW = admin
You maybe able to reset the router to the factory default by powering up the router, press and hold the RESET button at the back of the router for 7 secs..
Then open a browser and type in the IP configuration address to reconfigure the router.
Login to your Belkin router and check to see if there is a firmware update available for your specific model. If so, download and install it as this may resolve the problem without doing anything else. (Be sure to save your configuration first)
The specifications for a F5D9230 state that it supports VPN passthrough so you shouldn't need to configure anything in the router itself. It may be necessary to open a few incoming ports but only as a last resort.
Would you also reply to this post and specify...
What OS are you running on your pc?
What VPN client are you using on your pc?
Ask the administrator of the Exchange server if they're using PPTP or L2TP for VPN connections.
Another option would be to use OWA (Outlook Web Access) to access your email if it has been installed on the Exchange server.
goto start>> click run type cmd type ipconfig check what is ur default gateway then goto internet explorer type the default gateway in address bar YOUR belkin router homepage will come up If it asks you for any username and password U will have to contact belkin to get that... after entering the username and password u will be able to check the configuration setings Use one of your static IP's instead of Using the dhcp server to assign them.
normally, if you configure the wireless security settings wirelessly, it will automatically disconnect you from the network. you have to input the security key on the laptop first before it connects you back to the network.
i suggest, if you really like to configure the settings of your router, get an ethernet cable, connect it directly to the laptop so you can access and configure the router settings and to avoid from being disconnected
when enabling wireless security the router and adapter must be both be configured and configured in a fashion that both support. If you need help provide confirmation of your wireless router's manufacturer and model and the same information for any wireless adapters or computers with built-in wireless adapters to be wirelessly connected.
This will allow us to determine the common security options for all wireless devices you have.
