Program start to run then stops after a short time

I was running a coloured cotton 40 program, it filled with water and detergent ran into machine, I have manage to get the washing out, cleaned suds pump as per manual. Then tried to run program with machine empty it runs for a short time then stops and will not continue. Main wash light remains on, fills with water, drum turns 4 times then changes direction for 2 turn then stops. I have turned to off using the program selecter, then when it clicks to release the door, selected spin program (spin light on only) which drains the water out, drum does about 4 rotations then stops.

When my Maytag bravos washer starts to wash cycle it stops with an F 51 code. it dose it every time it agates

Cause: suds. The wrong detergent or the wrong amount of detergent, makes the motor overheat.
Why? In my opinion when suds are detected the program needs to make them go away for fear the clothes won't be clean. So the program makes the motor do extra work to try and fix the problem. The poor washer motor gets worked to death because the water ain't right. This washer is designed to work with a small amount of water. Only a tiny amount of soap is needed to do the job. Put a cup of detergent in there and the machine is gonna constantly run way past time to be done just to get rid of the detergent. This causes the machine to overwork the motor and destroy the rotor position sensor.

When I start any program on my Miele Novotronic W820, the machine fills with water and drum starts to turn but after a short time the main wash light flashes on and off. I've tried clearing the program,...

you may find that the water pump is not operating properly as the first fill of water is normally pumpt out first before the wash fill is started unplug the machine and take the back panel off and locate the water pump and check if you can move the cooling fan at the rear of the pump freely if not the take the water outlet pipe off and remove whatever is stopping the rotation of the pump replace all parts and run the machine to see if the fault has been found and cleared eric

Error code E:13 on my 500 plus series washer

Hi,
The E13 error code on your Bosch washer refer to a drainage problem or the pump time might have been exceeded
Either it might be due to a clogged pump, improper detergent being used, ( must use "HE" detergent ) hence suds not allowing a proper drain cycle. You should clean water drainage pipe and/or drain hose. Turn selector to off and restart 'drain, program or, on 500 plus machines, the 'refresh' program. It also says this is caused by using too much detergent. Bosch recommends using half of what the manufacturer recommends when using HE detergents. They don't recommend regular detergents. First run the short wash or refresh cycle without detergent and hopefully your lines will clear.

Thank you !!

Exactly the Same Problem

It's difficult to say without seeing the machine or having a failure code.
The machine looks for a switch to close as it fills with water. Maybe a pressure switch?
You could find the switch and see if it clicks when blowing into it and even test it with a meter.
That's an easy test.
Maybe the module has failed.
Hope it's given you something to look for.

Wrecking our clothes!!!

Check the water temperature - it may be filling with HOT only.
If this is the case - replace the dual inlet water fill valve.

Water goes thru fabric softener dispenser not soap dispenser!

Yes you will need a service call, you may have a issue with the water valve or control, At the start of the cycle it should not be filling the softener dispenser till later in the program.

Drum not filling up with water, it's draining straight out.

That means that the drain pump is always on.
That can happen because of a faulty or stuck water level switch (the one with floating sensor), because of a faulty drain pump solenoid, or because of a faulty pump.
