I've seen alot of TV's with blown HDMI inputs. They seem to be easily damaged by power surges. If you are good with electronics repairs, you can locate the HDMI input chip on the main board of your TV and replace it. It is quicker and easier to locate a replacement main board on Ebay or Shopjimmy and just replace the whole board. Just make sure you buy the exact same board .

Sinotec stl 43-e black screen when insert hdmi cable there is sound but no picture

If you are getting sound from your Sinotec STL 43-E TV but no picture when you connect an HDMI cable, it's possible that the issue may be with the HDMI port itself or the cable being used. Here are a few things you can try:

1. Check the HDMI cable - Try using a different HDMI cable to connect your devices. It's possible that the cable you are using is faulty or damaged.

2. Test the HDMI port - Connect a different device, such as a DVD player or game console, to the HDMI port on your TV. If there is still no picture, the HDMI port may be damaged and may require service or repair.

3. Reboot the TV and devices - Turn off the TV and the device you are trying to connect, unplug them from the wall, wait for a few seconds, and then plug them back in and restart them.

4. Update firmware - Check whether there is a firmware update available for your TV and update it to the latest version available.

If none of these steps solve the problem, it may be necessary to take your Sinotec STL 43-E TV to a licensed technician for further inspection and repair.

HDMI ports are not more working on my LG tv set.

If all the HDMI ports are faulty then the problem is probably a damaged HDMI cable.

The thin wiring in cheap HDMI cables can break after a time due to flexing. Make sure you replace the cable with one that is both sturdy and long enough to prevent flexing.

Buy from high street retailers like Currys or Argos who will replace any faulty goods.

46 inch Sony Bravia TV is 5 years old. HDMI ports 1,4 work fine but 2,3 don't.

I presume you've checked that the HDMI cables are good, and that the signal sources (e.g., blu-ray player, Roku, etc.) are working correctly. If the HDMI ports are individually selected by four buttons on your Sony remote, which is unlikely, it's possibly a problem in that remote. It's also possible that ports 2 and 3 are physically damaged by abuse. If you have ruled out all of those potential causes, this is almost certainly a problem in the way the defective ports are attached to the underlying printed circuit board inside the TV, or a flaw in that PCB. Too bad it's out of warranty. Repairing this will be a hassle if it can be done at all, and probably not cost effective. Instead, I suggest three possible workarounds for your consideration.

First, if you can find another way to get the signals into your TV, such as using the component inputs instead of HDMI, that will your cheapest and easiest alternative. This will only be doable if the signal source offers other types of outputs besides HDMI. Note that I am NOT suggesting adding any type of signal converter, just a different way of connecting the signal source to the TV.

A second alternative is to buy a multi-port HDMI switch with a remote control which you can find for less than $30 at online retailers like ebay. Plug that switch into one of your two good HDMI ports, and connect your unserved signal sources to the switch. It will be slightly less convenient to use the multi-port switch because you will need to operate one more remote control than you do now.

The third possible workaround is to buy an autosensing HDMI switch instead of the multi-port type, which would eliminate the need for the extra remote. However, an autosensing switch must have only one signal source active at any given time. This may not be possible if one of your signal sources is a streaming device that is continuously powered up. Good luck!

Phillips hdmi ports not working

Yes,

When 1 HDMI port is broken most of the time all the ports are defect. This is because all the 3 HDMI ports are connected to 1 multiplexer IC. Only when the connector or the copper connection on the board is damaged the other two ports still be functional.

You still can use the other connections ( not HDMI) the should be working.

Can a tv working normally after been stuck by lighting

In most cases no, depends on level of surge. I've seen cases where a surge came in through an HDMI cable and take out the HDMI port on a TV, everything else worked. I've seen cases where a surge damaged multiple boards on a set. So again it depends how how big of a surge, and whether the surge comes in through the power cable or an video/audio input.

HDMI PORTS NOT WORKING

Try visually inspecting HDMI’s that are not working. Occasionally, pins on HDMI connectors are getting bent or pushed-in. If you can spot the damage, fix would be to replace HDMI connectors. If connector are not damaged, then main unit of the TV has to be replaced.

Onkyo TX-SR605 hdmi output jack was damaged and needs replacing. A) Where can I get the part and how much for it? B) Does the replacement part require solder or is it a snap in type connection?

The hdmi output and inputs are on a modular circuit board that you only need a philips screwdriver to swap out. I need this board as well since I also have a damaged hdmi output jack but have not been able to locate the replacement board. If anyone knows where to look I would appreciate knowing.
