Question about Samsung SGH-t629 Cellular Phone

People can hear me, but I can hardly hear them

For some reason as of this afternoon if someone calls me on me cell or I call them, I can hardly hear them. It sounds as if the phone is muted and like they are far away. It was working fine this morning. I tried the volume button on the side of the phone, but that doesn't help. What could be the problem?

I have the same problem. When I call somebody or when somebody calls me I can hardly hear them. Sometimes it goes back to normal during the call. Everything works fine when the speaker is on.

Incoming and outgoing calls can only be heard if speaker phone is on. I have reset the factory defaults and that works until I put the phone on vibrate. Then can't hear anyone unless I engage the speaker phone again. Very displeased with this phone!

Yes, when I use speaker or bluetooth, it works fine.

I have the same problem and can hear only when the speaker phone it on. After few day there is a new issue, the DISPLAY fades away when I slide the phone, when I slide it back the display remain just a white screen. However if I receive, I can see laterally inverted text on the screen. I am very disappointed with this phone.

This is the 5th replacement Samsung M300 phone since Oct. 2008. Each one has the same problem: After a few days with a new phone people can't hear me anymore but I can hear them.

New phone - just got it.
They can hear me just fine. Unfortunately I neglected to purchase the braile option.
I like the phone (my second one - the first one went into a glass of diet pop). Great display, easy to use etc etc etc.
All that's not much use if they can't hear me.

I feel much better... I have this issue too, and when I tried to get help they treated me like an idiot, asking me if I had it muted and so on. Now it's getting to the point that callers cannot hear me even on speaker phone... I'm getting a new one but think I will search on here to avoid troublesome ones first.

Samsung Link I can't hear my callers & they can't hear me

hello,

to find out if the phone is on mute, try to connect a earpiece to the phone and see what happens.

if it continues, then you flash the phone with the appropriate software.

it will come back to order.
take care

When i call someone i can hear them, but they cannot hear me

Ok, there are ONLY two things that can cause this. usually, One, The Microphone is MUTED, Check, if it is, Un-Mute it. Two, The other is a broken Microphone. You will have to get it replaced. A relatively inexpensive job. Both are very common events. So, if it's NOT muted, it's Faulty.

No phone calls

Check to make sure that the phone is not in "mute" mode. If you are talking to someone and tell them to hang on and want to talk to someone in person without the caller hearing you, you hit the mute button so they cannot hear what you say. It sounds like you have mute enabled and just need to un-mute the phone.

To mute/unmute the microphone, look next to the speakerphone icon and click on it. It looks like a microphone. I hope this helps and good luck!

Sound Ican hear them they can't hear me

Call your muted A747 from another phone.
Answer the call.
On your A747 select Options with the top left button.
Select the first entry, Mute/Unmute.
--
This fixed the same problem on my A747. Before doing this the Mute/Unmute had no effect. After doing the repair, all is OK.
