Is the convergence adjustment option still listed on the on screen menu or has it disappeared? Thats a very easy chassis to repair so let me know if the option has disappeared or not and I can asssist you with how to fix it.

sounds like the sensors are out of focus and your red sensor isnt turning on. look in the back of the tv for a master reset button or in your menu screen some sort of "Flash focus" or "convergence". They will realign the 3 sensors.
You have bad convergence IC's. Replace both the red and blue drive chips. They are easy to spot. They are mounted to large, finned heat sinks. The # on the chips starts with "STK-" and then there are numbers following. Both red and blue use the same part. There are 20 or so pins to unsolder\solder. These parts are available to the consumer from tritronicsinc.com. Good Luck!!
This is essentially a convergence problem and will continue to get worse. If you can solder, try resoldering the pins on the convergence ICs. If that fails to resolve the problem, replace the ICs. These are large black ICs attached to a heatsink and should be marked STKxxx.
chances are the repair man wanted to sell you a whole board because with mitsubishis this problem is amost always the convergence ic's also in that model very seldom the resistors burn out in that unit its almost always the IC's that do that. I looked for you information you have an old chassis but I think its similar to the Vz2 I believe you need IC number STK391-020 thats based on theVz2 chassis but pls double check and you need 2 of them you can also save yourself if you know how to solder a lot of money by replacing them yourself its about a 45min job if I can help you any further pls let me know or if you would like a link where you can buy your parts very reasonable with tech online support let me know
OUR TOSHIBA HAS A DOUBLE VISION/BLURRIE PICTURE. THIS PROBLEM IS ALWAYS THERE. SOMETIMES THE PICTURE IS GREAT, BUT MOST OF THE TIME
ITS BLURRIE/DOUBLE. LOOKS AS IF IT ALWAYS ON 3D!! ANY SUGGESTIONS?
