How do I reset the Change Drum Soon on the display? al1217

The "replace drum soon" indicater is a warning for you to have a new replacement drum "on-hand". Soon the display will change to "REPLACE DRUM" AT WHICH TIME THE UNIT WILL STOP PRINTING.
When the new drum cartridge is then installed...the REPLACE DRUM indicator will be reset. DO NOT replace the drum before the machine says to.

There is an easy reset procedure for this.
1) Open the front cover. 2) Press the Options key on the control panel.
The display will show "REPLACE DRUM - 1.YES 2.NO". 3) Press 1 to reset the drum count. 4) Close the front cover. Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Open the door where the toner cartridge is, and push the clear key and look at the display where it will say reset no press 1 yes press 2. That should do it.

You have to open the front door and then press options, should see Replace Drum? just answer yes.

Reinstall the new drum unit, keeping the front cover open. Press OPTIONS. Press 1 when the display shows REPLACE DRUM? 1.YES 2.NO ACCEPTED. Close the front cover.
