HRC200 shows current temp

I have an HRC200 hend held or remote thermostat.  I put in the new battery for this year and the current temperature shows on the left side, but the set temp does not show on the right.  I cannot make anything happen when I push any of the buttons.  I don't have the manual anylonger and I think maybe the child lock was somehow set???  Do you have any ideas?

You are my hero!! Thank you. I saw a manual similar to this and saw page 42, but did not read every page because I thought it was for the gas stove alone.

It did not make sense that the unit had gone bad, it was not dirty nor banged around. Thanks so much again!

I have a Heat and Glo gas log fire. It is switched on at the moment and won't switch off with remote. I have put new batteries in remote. Can someone tell me how to switch it off manually

I understand your frustration. Call 1 (888) 427-3973 if these do not work.

1) The on/off switch on the fireplace and/or wall may be in the on position. This will over ride the remote control feature.
2) The remote is in the thermostat mode (SMART-STAT and RCT-MLT models) and the temperature of the room has not exceeded the desired temperature setting by 2 degrees Fahrenheit or 1 degree Celsius.
3) Batteries in the hand-held transmitter are old and underpowered. May work up close and will not work a few feet away.
4) Hand-held transmitter is outside of the 25' of operation.
5) Hand-held transmitter has been dropped and the frequency has been moved off the frequency of the receiver.

Can reset everything on my SkyScan Atomic Clock except for the outside temp. Have new batteries in both units. Main clock and outside remote thermostate..Any suggestions??

I expect that since the unit reads the outside temperature from the remote thermostat, there is no need to "reset" the displayed number since this data is obtained live from the thermostat.

Skytech 3301 thermo

Check to make sure your thermostat is set at a temperature that will turn the fireplace "on".
Double-check what your "swing" temp settings are set at, as this may effect how quickly the unit shuts off because it thinks it's too close to the target temperature.

If needed:Skytech's Tech Support number is 1-888-672-8929They are available Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm EST.

If your remote needs to be replaced, the 3301 is available here:

If you are looking to replace it, I would also highly recommend looking at Skytech's new 3301P2 remote. It adds a programmable thermostat, and a much nicer back-lit LCD screen. This unit is available here:

I had a new thermostat and thermostat sensor put in my car and my temp gauge is still showing hot. Help! 2004 Trailblazer

Maybe check if the fans are coming on when the car is at operating temperature. Also, may need a flush and fill of the antifreeze, since it's about 7 years old.

I replaced the battery in our HRC200 handheld it still does not work. We can turn the fireplace on with the manual control at the logs. The fireplace was used last season for the first time. Can you help?

The remote works once the right room temperature is
sensed (66F) by the remote, This is a room temperature
triggered remote. However, if the thermostat at the
remote becomes defective, then there is no way that the remote will function. You have to do it manually.

Housesitting. RTH111B model. I cannot keep the

That is a NONprogramable T-stat. There is no program to overide, therefore there is no need for a "hold" option. To set the temp, place the switch on the side marked

COOL
OFF
HEAT

to the desired setting, and push the up down arrows on the front until the display shows 80.

The DISPLAY will revert back to the current room temperature within a few seconds, and will keep the unit on until it reaches the desired temp.

The set temperature remains at 80, it just shows the current room temp.
