according to the technical report, the infrared internal unit stopped working. The part needed is the one i described in previous message (8003070T)

Try to repair the remote control. Without remote control, you can't access most of the tVs functions. Many faults with remote controls are repairable. Just get ito this link. You can get repair hints of remote controls from here. OK.

Your fan has problem on its control board and not on remote transmitter control. Thermal fuse is blown inside its motor to protect the windings. Check the control board, crystal oscillator failed, micro-controller failure. A universal remote control will not gonna control the fan.

My remote control has stopped working on my Thomson DTR, it was working fine. Thought it may be the batteries, I have changed these over but there is seemingly no power to the remote control.

Remote control stopped working.

Hi forlillis,

1. Make sure there are fresh batteries in the remote, and they are installed correctly.
2. Make sure the area between the remote control and receiver is not blocked by some object,
and the distance is no more than 15 feet at an angle no greater than 30 degrees from the
front of the receiver.
3. Make sure strong lighting is not directed towards the IR sensor of the receiver.
4. Press each button on the remote and verify proper operation.
If these steps are taken and remote control still does not function properly
5. This step discharges the capacitor and resets the remote control. (You do not need to point
the remote control at the receiver or even have the receiver turned on.)
A: AVR35 Press the TV and the M4 buttons at the same time and hold for 12 seconds.
To Test: Make sure your AVR35 is ON, press each button on the remote and verify
proper operation of your receiver.

I am sure that you got this resolved already. But here are some steps to walk through if you haven't gotten it resolved, or have problems again in the future. I enclosed a link, where you can walk through simple steps to get the remote working for the receiver box. You do want to make sure that you are in front of the receiver box for this process. Also, if you have not changed the batteries in 60 days, go ahead and change those out too if possible.

All remotes controlling my Onkyo TX-SR304 stopped working

try putting the remote an inch away from the IR receiver on the unit and see if it works then, if so then you definitely know its broken. This can and does happen. From what you have posted it sounds like no remote is working on the receiver, the ir receiver can break. If you need further assistance let me know.

Remote control won't work

Could need a new ir sensor or repair solder connections on the display (ir) board. You can check that the remote is putting out a signal by viewing it with a camcorder, turn the camera on look through the viewfinder and point the remote at it push a button. If it is working you will see a flashing light on the remote.

Try these simple trick to find out yor remote control working or not....
Point the remote control towards the Camera of a Mobile Camera phone,with the camera on. While pressing remote, we can see a light (Infra Red) coming from its IR LED through the Mobile Camera if the Remote is working.
Otherwise the problem will be with the remote sensor or related components of the device.
