W5741 miele washing machine when i turn it on the light on start and stop button is on but when i press the button to start it it doesn't start just frozen the light and after a few minutes it gone

All Miele washing machines and dishwashers need to fill in a required time. Flashing inlet (Tap icon) indicates that the machine can not fill in time. There are filters in the end of the hoses which connect to your water supply from the machine and filters in the inlet valves which you can get at by removing the hose from where it fixes onto the machine it'self. You will need some long nose pliers to grab the little tab on the small filter to get it out. Clean all filters and hoses. Still same problem then check the pressure of the water coming into the machine. There should be a good pressure coming out of the hose and will be difficult to stop the flow of water with your finger.

my w830 is doing exactly the same thing.

I am usually pretty good at fixing these sort of things so if/when I solve it I will post back here.

I think it is a motor fault - most likely the motor brushes are worn out.

If your model is displaying the same symptoms as the W1930 that I repaired, then the cure is to replace or check the brushes on the main drive motor ($17) and check or replace the bearings ($12). This is much easier on the pocket book. I was able to confirm the presence of drive voltage (25VDC) to the motor terminals prior to the removal.

Main wash is a fault indicator. The is a problem within the heater circuit, NTC, element, relay or loose wire. You will have to open front and check.
Remove 3 screw around dispenser and 3 10mm bolt around door. disconnect hose by drain pump and front of machine will open like a door.

Hi dear.If the machine starts the cycle but does not start agitate there are two things could be wrong.1- Good thing loose motor connection,2- Bad one is control board gone.To checked the loose connection,take out the detergent drawer.There are 3 secrews,unsecrew them.Bottom left hand side where the filter lid open it.free the drain hose.Out of the front doorjust under the filter lid,there is one little clip holds the door.free the door & cheked the motor connection.If it's loose,make sure firmly attach the connection housing.put the machine back in order & start the machine.If machine takes the water in & still not rotate the drum(If the rinse "spoolen" light flashing),you need to call miele service centre where you are to get it replace the control board.I hope that helps.Thanks.
