Social networking is a tool to facilitate entrepreneurship.
There seems to be a belief that automation, the Internet and social networking can make the business succeed when in fact the real design of the enterprise itself
may be lacking (niche, market base, business plan, competitive analysis and financial forecasting).
I hear from many clients who ask, "What Now?" having launched an enterprise that is going nowhere because they are driving the tools and not the car.
I take them back to the garage, design the auto to see if it can run and then apply the wrenches retroactively if that is possible. It is usually a
traumatic experience and could have been avoided with strategic and business planning before launch.

What are some smart concepts from social entrepreneurship?

One of the 'smartest' concepts from social entrepreneurship is reinvesting 100% of the profits back into the business for the purpose of
increasing the reach of your product/service to create maximum positive impact. Because social enterprises are slaves to their mission rather than their investors,
they can afford to create the biggest, best business without promising high returns to their investors.

The implications of this are that social enterprises can become high growth, sustainable businesses at a faster rate than corporate enterprises. You can get the detail from.

Is it worth it to take a masters program in social entrepreneurship?

can't say for sure, but I might be able to add something from my experience. I was volunteering for a few months with Grameen Caldas.
While there a few different social businesses were preparing for launch. Along with myself, there were other volunteers as well.
I had come independently while some others had come through a Social Enterprise masters program.
One of the girls said something along the lines of how much more she was learning there than in her classes.
Perhaps, you'd be better off doing an independent volunteer placement with a similar organization somewhere.
If cost is no issue, I suppose you can't go wrong either way. However,
you may be able to learn more, get more hands on experience and make a bigger impact simply through doing some independent volunteering.Try this site to get more help
