Have you tried to use the device with a different phone? You can also try to reset the device: Close the headset's boom (microphone) and wait for the indicator light to turn off. Open the headset's boom and wait for the indicator light to display a purple light, a purple light signifies the headset is in pairing mode.

If you have already checked the volume on the earpiece, there is probably a short in the wiring somewhere. If it is under or just over a year old contact Motorola about a replacement under the manufacture's warranty. Have a great day.
good morning!! ive been thru this before, try tapping your phone volume while your talking to your party, it shold be seen on your phone screen as earpiece volume than turn it up and when you have the volume where you want it dont forget to tap the set on your phone, another prob i had was some times there is a small protective plastic film on the ear holes on the tooth and one on the mike sometimes, i could hear my party but they couldnt hear me until i discovered that lil peice of plastic. remember your key codes are either 0000 or 1234. good luck m.m.
while talking to your party try the volume on your phone, it should come up as bluetooth or earpiece volume if it does just turn it up and dont forget to hit the set button. good luck m.m. p.s. some times the volume isnt set at the factory. im fighting that problem now on two of my seven h-700s. this may be a solution it may not im letting you know my experiance as best as i can.m.m.
the h700 version 1 is known for an echo to really remedy this problem you need to upgrade to h700 version c because this headset has noise canceling intergrated into this model get one cheap at www.n1wireless.com
If you're using a Motorola RAZR V3, the problem is the cell phone. Also check the volume buttons on H700 that sometimes it goes the volume all the way down. It is a common unnoticed situation.
I had the same problem with my Razor and the H700. I removed the device from the phone and reinstalled and that fixed the pairing probelm...Now I have another problem. I can hear the party I'm talking to just fine but no onee can hear me...this is my second Motorola ear piece and I've had the same problem twice...I think its a microphone problem...anyway, try to unistall and then reinstall the ear piece, that should fix your problem
