This can be from a couple things that caused this. Most the time and 99% of the time that causes this is the cd driver is dirty, which some times it just spits it out after error message comes on. AND in your case, it is staying in there spinning and reading error, and won't eject. One way that is possible to have this kick out is, to unhook battery, wait 5 minutes, and re- hook battery up, and sometimes it will trigger it to eject. If not, you do not want to start forcing something in there, it could cause more damage. You would then, i suggest , take it to car stereo shop as they have all kinds of methods to check it out and eject cd and figure out the fix method. Which could be as simple as a good cleaning, or cd itself was bad, or mechanism is screwed up.

According to experts, error 5 on the player means that the player is reading the cd upside down or it cannot read the disc. you may need to run a cd cleaner ten check if it can read the cd again or if not you may need to take the player apart to clean it manually.

If ur cd player wont read cd's you may try following steps:

* Clean your cd player's lenses with a cotton carefully.
* Your cd player might not be getting sufficient power.

Cleaning with what-a cleaning CD? If so, she's most likely toast now, sorry :o(
E20 is a read error...could be bad media (ie CD format like from your PC). Otherwise, unplug the changer and plug back in.

ok error code 1, look for this error code on your owners manual, toyota cd players give 3 error codes, this mean error code 1, error code 2, and error code 3, they all have different meaning please check owners manuel to see what does error 1 mean i will try looking for you

that model is the older cd player so the newer cds are more compersed so the laser well not read it

Your error is usually indicates that the drive can't read the CD. I ask everyone these two: check to make sure the CD is right-side up (label facing up or to the right on a vertical oriented drive) and did you insert a DVD into a CD drive? Can you use Windows Explorer and right-click on the CD drive letter and select eject and it works? If not, a driver could be missing. Lastly, if you inserted a blank CD (that can be written to) into a CD drive that can only read CD's, you'll get that error.

I have two stereos and the cd player only says error when I insert a cd and it reads it...how do I fix it...they are both out of warranty...

First try cleaning the laser. This may fix it.
