SPARE PARTS ICE DISPENSER TRAY

I SEE that assembly, it's motor AND associated gears for the FLAP!

You can hear the motor so I suspect the mechanics next. Could be the gear from the motor shaft is loose or worn?

Ahaaa! Check the tray "water fill tube"! It's usually rubber and the insides sometimes FREEZES and BLOCKS with ice!

ALSO, I've seen similar problems when the WATER FILTER is too old! Internally it's compacted and blocked so water flow is restricted... SO as the tray TRIES to fill, the water just dribbles into the tray then freezes in the fill tube ~ rather then a true FILL/STOP action.

make sure the ice maker lever is in the down position, when removing the tray the arm was probably moved to the top(off) position as if the tray was actually full which would shut off the ice making process

look for spare part and replace it. Several site which sell spare parts.

You will need to replace the dispenser control board. Here is a link to the part you need.

If the water dispenser is working and fill glass function is working but the ice maker section there is no water in the tray then its faulty ice maker valve.This is a twin valve.The valve is one unit,but has two sections one for water and one for ice dispenser.This valve is got faulty and not working for both sections so water is not entering the ice maker tray.
There is a water valve at the back of the ice maker.This valve controls the flow of water in the ice maker chamber.If this valve is not functioning as required then water will not enter the ice maker.This valve is at the back of ice maker connected to the water fill tube.It has to be replaced to clear this problem.

The paddle serves as an off and on control for your dispenser, auger and trap door that retains cold air in freeze when finished getting ice it also closes. this maybe a problem with you auger motor may be stripped.open the door remove the ice bin.then hold the metal u shape auger arm and try to turn it by hand or have some one try to dispence ice if the u shape braket turn easy ny hand or if it stops turning when being held replace the auger motor.i hope this is some help,good luck you may also have to replaced the ice bin.

Those parts are available and require disassembly of the IM to replace.

Remove the ice dispenser bucket. You will see a square hole at the back wall with a horizontal rod in it. You should be able to move it up and down with you fingers. If not, it may just be frozen. Warm it with a hair blower and try again. If still no luck, the WR62X58 dispenser solenoid may be burnt out / melted and need to be replaced. It is attached to the metal just above and behind that square hole. The removable tray at the bottom of the dispenser recess is a part number WR17X12133 for a PSS26PSTA SS. Contact any GE servicing dealer or general appliance servicer near you to get one. You can get parts direct from GE also, but the won't be any cheaper, and you may pay more shipping and handling.
