Water draining in front inside house can't find drain hole!

I have looked and it appears to have a hole in the casing in the back of the air unit, however the metal mesh is on the other side of it...so thinking this frame may be used for different models. I cannot find a drain hole and water is dripping inside front right....any suggestions?

SOURCE: LG LHD45EL Dehumidifier

Push through the membrane with the drain connector. The membrane has a circular cut almost all the way through it, and pushing at it with the drain connector will pop out the little hole. I've done it with four LG units.

SOURCE: Bucket fills up instead of water flowing out hose

There must be a blockage in the hose causing the water to back up and flow into the bucket. Try pushing a flexble peice of wire through the hose to unblock it.

SOURCE: Running, but no water coming out. Is forming ice

Your machine has a sealed system leak and is low on freon. Read your owners manual and there should be a 5 year sealed system warranty. If so you will need your purchase receipt and call an authorized LG dealer for an exchange.

The water will not drain into the storage tank, and insists on leaking out the back. How can I get it to drain into the tank?

The drain tube and or hole that is supposed to drain water into the bucket is clogged. To solve this problem, do the following:

First, turn the Unit OFF & Unplug it.
Remove the water collection bucket and look up inside the bucket holder cavity. You will see either a drain hole or small tubing that drains the water into the bucket. Using an appropriately sized, 18" long, plastic Zip Tie, carefully insert the tip of Zip Tie into the hole or tubing. Continue to push it in until you reach a bend in the tubing. You will need to gingerly work the Zip Tie past this bend, until it either bottoms out or you run out of usable Zip Tie. Then slowly pull the Zip Tie back out while rotating (twisting) it. This will breakup any clogs. As you reach the inserted end of the Zip Tie, be prepared, as some water may follow. Reinstall the bucket, plug the unit in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. NOTE: if you don't have a Zip Tie, you may use something similar, but NO wire coat hangers.

Hope this helps you and thanks for using FixYa.

Drain line and your drain hole for your unit is clogged. Compressed air is the safest and easiest way to get it unclogged.

Dehumidifier AD75USTO Whirlpool. Taking in air but not taking out moisture.Seems to be frozen up inside, etc. Can I get a manuel?

Sorry, but your Model # doesn't match any Whirlpool Appliance in my data base. However, another company may have bought the rights to use the Whirlpool name on house brand that they sell. But, lets get to a solution to your immediate problem.

First turn OFF the MASTER ON/OFF Switch and unplug the unit from the wall outlet and allow the unit to completely thaw, before removing and cleaning the air filter. As, I suspect, the filter is dirty and may be clogged. Historically, this is one of the things that can cause a dehumidifier to struggle and not be able to keep up.

After you remove and clean the filter, remove the water collection bucket and look for the drain tube or hole that drains the water into the collection bucket. Using an 18" long plastic Zip Tie, that will fit into the drain hole or tube. Carefully insert the tube into the drain hole. Continue to push it in and you'll reach a bend in the tubing. Carefully push it past this bend, as far as you can. Then, while rotating the Zip Tie, pull it back out slowly. Be prepared for some water to follow. One word of caution - DO NOT use a wire coat hanger to clear the drain tube.

Reassemble everything and you should be good to go. If however, the unit freezes up again, the compressor may be low of refrigerant gas and it will need to be recharged.

Hope this helps you continue to troubleshoot and solve the problem.

The dehumidifier is not filling the bucket with water and runs all the time

As I told a questioner, yesterday who was having the same problem: The operation a dehumidifier is based on the amount of humidity in the house or room where you have it placed. If the humidity level is low and you have the humidifier set on a low extraction setting, there would be little to no water in the bucket. However, if you have all the settings correct and you still don't get water in the bucket, the top 2 reasons for this are: The Filter needs cleaning and # 2 the drain tube or hole is clogged. The solution for cleaning the filter is a no brainer. The solution for unclogging the drain tube or hole is not that difficult. You will need a 12" to 20" long Plastic Zip Tie (or something similar, but no wire coat hangers), that's small enough to go through the drain tube or hole. When you remove the bucket look up and into the compartment that the bucket came out of and you will see the drain tube or drain hole. Slowly and carefully push the zip tie into the hole and continue to work it into the hole until you reach the curve in the tubing. This is the tricky part. Carefully and gently work it past the curve and about 4" more. Then start removing the Zip Tie as you slowly rotate it. This will dislodge any clogs. As you continue to pull it out, be prepared for water to follow it. If you have water draining out, your problem is solved.

If none of the above solved your problem, the condenser unit may be low on refrigerant. In which case, you will need a pro to service it.

Hope this information helps to solve the problem.

Water not draining into bucket and leaking on floor

Unplug the unit and remove the water collection container. Using a flash light, look into the inside of the unit where the collection container was. There should be a plastic or rubber tube or just a hole where the water would drain into the container. Does it appear clogged? If not, carefully use a 12" long Zip Tie that will fit into the hose or the hole and carefully and slowly run the Zip Tie into it as far as you can. While rotating the Tie, pull it back out. If this area was clogged, it should dislodge the clog and the water should start draining as it should.

Hope this helped solve our problem. Please let me know.

I purchased a LG Dehumidifier MODEL LHD45EL and I followed instructions to attach a hose to it for the drain. I removed the drain hole cover and I don't see a drain hole connector or a hole to install it...

Remove the drain bucket. on the top there are two pieces that can be removed just by taking them out. they are just laying in there. 1 is the brush the other is the "drain tube insert" it is a plastic tube and has a threaded fitting on one end. take your garden hose with a female connector on one end just like you were going to install on your spicket outside of your house and connect it to the threaded end of the "drain tube insert" make sure you knockout the round plastic drain plug cover hole located in the back of the unit (it is behind where your power cord was stored) it has three tabs to break. remove drain bucket. take the drain tube with hose attatched and insert it into the drain plug hole in the back and attach it onto the drain outlet (the drain outlet is inside the drain bucket side at the top it looks like an elbow fitting) push the tube so that the flap with the arrow is flush with the back. once you get the "drain tube insert" almost all the way flush with the back -->if you look inside the drain bucket side you will see where it fits over the drain outlet
