Check touch screen job status. this particular user might not have the setting configured properly on his pc and affected all job queue due to paper size not avail in any drawer or bypass paper needed.

to release the rest of the job queue, just delete the job pn the touch screen. u can see the delete button on the touch screen when u press job status

SOURCE: I would like to print a summarization of the User usage

Yes, if you input codes to the machine , then assign them to each user to input to their PC, then you can track them -not simply by the user name of the PC

Please run a printer alignment exercise. Then do a print head cleaning exercise. If these does not solve the problem then try to reset you printer. Clear the printer memory. Please follow the user manual to perform the steps.

My printer shows ''User intervension required'' other than ''Ready''

The issue may be resolved by clearing the pause printing in the printer driver or by setting up a parallel connection with the computer. Clear pause printing
  1. From the Windows Desktop, select Start , Settings , and Printers .
  2. Right-click the HP LaserJet printer icon that is being used.
  3. Select the Work Offline or Pause Printing option (if enabled) to remove the check.
  4. Print the document again.
Establish parallel connection
  1. Turn off the printer or remove the printer from the network.
  2. Connect the printer to the PC using a parallel cable.
  3. Power on the printer.
  4. Print the document again. NOTE: If the User Intervention Required message reappears, disable or remove any HP LaserJet software utilities loaded on the system (for example, Status Window, HP Toolbox, etc.). Prove printer functionality and troubleshoot communications; try printing again.
Uninstall and reinstall the driver After performing a cold reset on a product installed with USB, a higher DOT4_00x port is created, causing the printer to hang while printing. NOTE: This is required with products installed on a USB port only.
  1. Uninstall the USB printer driver.
  2. Remove the HP folder and AIO folder from the hard drive.
  3. Reinstall the USB printer driver.
CAUSE: This error can occur if when using a network or printing from a laptop. When the print job goes into a pending status, the printer is either in Work Offline or Pause Printing mode. Hope this helps. Please rate my response.
Thanks.
Have a good day.

We recently started having a problem printing from PCs to a KM C451 with a user/pswd specified -- the print job goes to the "Save" tab on the job history but never prints and does not go to a user box....

This is caps sensitive. Keep this in mind. Also, if you are using Vista, the driver may not be aquiring the setting properly to allow printing using authentication. Check to ensure that the settings for authentication or account track match the settings on the MFP. If this all doesnt work, (depending on the application youa re printing from) try turning "print without Authentication" to allow or enable.

X5150 and Vista print issue

I am posting this in hopes of helping others that are having issues with the Vista print spooler. In my case, I have an HP Pavilion laptop running Vista connected to a wireless hub. I also have a Minolta Konica 2300DL printer that is connected to the network via the wireless hub as well. Ever since obtaining this laptop, I have not been able to print to the printer other than stopping and starting the print spooler to obtain a single print 'job'. After about six months I found a post that contains the fix - I cannot take credit for it! Follow these instructions to get your printer to work:

1.) Go into control panel - I would suggest classic view as it is a little easier to navigate.

2.) Then go into User Accounts.

3.) From User Accounts go into Turn User Account Control On or Off

4.) UNCHECK Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer.

5.) At this point you will probably require a reboot.

Once this exercise is complete, you should be able to print. One more item off of my Honey DOO list!!!!!

Laserjet 5L Hangs on Single Sheet Input Jobs

This probably means that the document you printed is set to manual and the printer is waiting for input

try this:
print the document, when the data light is on, press the button on the printer, does it print? if yes go into word and under page setup set the printer to "Auto select" for the paper tray.

or remove paper, print, when the data light comes on, insert the paper into the single sheet tray

hope this helps

1. check the printer, make a copy
2. check connectivity, open device manager - USB Printing Support(under Universal Serial Bus Controllers) must be there - swap cable/port if it´s not
3. uninstall, reboot then re install printer driver
