Error 0176 ibm

you mite cold boot, when the system turned off and nothing is running wait about 10 seconds, than push F10 when you are booting up.

if you want a copy of the bois manual for your motherboard than type the following information

/error 0176 [ there isnt one in my tech book]

Check if there is a Administrator password, try to login and update your Windows computer.

It is looking for the supervisor password.

0176 System Security. The system has been tampered with.

1. Run BIOS Setup Utility. Then save current setting by pressing F10.

0176 error meaning the system cover had been opened. To fix this error, you need to enter CMOS setting or BIOS setting. press F10 to save before exit. Then the error will be gone.

Did you ever open the system cover before this error happened?

search the internet, most BIOS manufacturers leave a back door for problems like this.

Change the bios battery.Remove the notebook battery and then you should see the bios battery.Maybe you should have to disassembly the complete pc because it is a little dificult without disassembly.
