Sensor Error I replaced drum/toner kit on Cyan, Magenta and Yellow and it says cartridge error 540, 541 and 542. I took the kits out and double checked that they were installed properly and all passages were clear. I turned the printer off and restarted and I still have the same error message. Help!

About the croaking noise:
The drum unit, underneat the toner cartridge, at the left side (seeing the machine from the front) has a kind of a pump device, made with an internal small belt (you can't disassembly it), its function is to move the old used toner, that exit the cartridge from the left hole, into the springed plunger, the toner moves into that chamber and is pumped back into the cartridge. In time that chamber receives so much old toner that the small transporter belt inside can't move anymore, it makes a very high load to the pulleys and they jump tooth, so the noise. You may want to disassembly the drum unit, (as reference the yellow p/n is 42126601), and get isolated just that chamber, there is only one small plastic geat that moves the pump inside. The gear must rotate somehow free, if not, try to such old toner using a vacuum cleaner, but you will need to keep rotating the gear by hand to pull out all the bad toner. It may exit from the bottom hole or from the spring loaded plunger on top (when pulling the spring). If you are lucky you may have it working back again, if not, prepare your dollars bills to replace the unit. The croaking you are listening may be cause by this or it may be a wrong drum unit you installed into the machine. Check the gears between the old and new units. Good luck. Wagner.

The error 540 means the photo-sensor located at the right side of the machine, (two small eyes in the machine chassi) that looks directly to a white rectangle in the toner cartridge, on the blue lever body of the cartridge. If the photo-sensor is contaminated with dust, toner, etc, it can't see the white rectangle, and it thinks the toner cartridge is not there or not latched. Clean the white rectangle and the photo-sensor with a cotton-swab and alcohol, it should fix the problem. You can also stick a small piece of white paper with scotch tape right over the sensor (to the machine frame) to trick it, just for testing.

How do I correct error c4152?

Magenta Print head (print head has the LASER inside of it that writes the image on the drum) in this case it is the magenta LASER. Open and close the front door to reset. If it comes back replace the print head. Normal done as a set of all four. (Black, Magenta, Yellow, and Cyan). Worse case is the relay board is bad or the Image control Board$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Falal error 173 on oki c5650 after changing fuser unit

Cause:
This error indicates that the Image Drum Up/Down Process is not working properly.

The errors are as follows:

140 - Yellow Drum Up/Down error
141 - Magenta Drum Up/Down error
142 - Cyan Drum Up/Down error

Resolution:

1. Reseat the Image Drums. Ensure they are in seating properly into the drum carriage.

2. Reseat the Toner Cartridges. Ensure they are seating properly into the Image Drums.

3. Reseat the Contact Sensor Spring assembly and inspect it for damage or mis-alignment. If the springs appear bent or dis-lodged reseat them.

Toner Sensor Error for Cyan and Toner Out for Black

First, I wouldn't worry about the "K toner out", it might finally disappear once you get rid of the Cyan problem, if indeed you replaced the black toner for a new and healthy one.

Make sure that the cyan toner cartridge is securely fitted in it's drum unit, and the "knob" that opens the toner cartridge is in fully open position. Sometimes when manipulating inside the printer the "knob" might get moved a bit.

Generally, the toner cartridge sensor is connected via the drum unit, so usually the problem is with proper seating of the drum unit and good electrical contact between the metal fields on the sides of the drum unit and contacts protruding inside the printer. Cleaning both of any residue might help.

Once I had a defective toner cartridge, that caused such problem, but it was the contact between the toner cartridge and the drum that was broken. You have to experiment a bit.
I'm pretty sure in this model it is possible to swap two units - if you swap for example cyan with magenta, and observe if the error moves from cyan to magenta or not, you can draw conclusions if the problem is with the toner/drum, or with the printer not seeing the cartridge for some reason (sensor inputs killed by static electricity for example).

Hp color laserjet 3550 - error message "cartridges not engaged"

here are the codes for the error you are getting

10.92.00 Black toner
10.92.01 Cyan
10.92.02 Magenta
10.92.03 Yellow

The fix is either the toner lock is broken. Contacts on the left side of printer are damaged.

There is a complete proceedure for replacing the the toner locks which comes in a kit you can order from precisionroller.com. this takes about an hour.

If the contacts are damaged you will have to replace the whole plastic part on the left side behind all of the electronics. It takes about an hour

Hp 2600n error 51.22 magenta cartridge, says turn on and off, hel

51.22 is a Magenta laser scanner error.
Try removing the magenta restarting the printer and reinstalling.
If that does not work you likely need a laser assm.
You might want to call a tech. to replace.

Error message after installing new tonner

Check the little switch/door on the left hand side of the drums.
This has worked successfully for me.

Symptom:
After replacement of a C3530 Image Drum, the message, "Toner Sensor Error" is displayed.

0.10a?openelement&fieldelemformat=gif

Cause:
The plastic shutter in the ID is fully or partially covering the toner sensor window.

Resolution:
Move the cover upward to allow for the sensor to become fully exposed prior to reinstalling the drum.

Konica minolta error

I had the same problem and found that one of the toner cartridges must have not been seated properly. I removed the black toner cartridge and re-fitted it. The printer now works fine again with no errors. 17H is a code relating to a fault in the rotation ......... possibly one or more toner cartridges need checking. Use the menu on the printer to turn it to the appropriate position (i.e. engine menu then select replacement of whichever toner you are checking).
Hope this fixes your as well.
