Question about Goodman GMS90703BXA Heater
My goodman package unit wont ignite for heat. I have reset it several times by cycling the breaker on the outside. I hear the gas flowing and the plug trying to light. I hear it clicking a total of three times then the unit shuts off completely. I had the unit running in the afternoon a few weeks ago and it was working. I am not sure what could be the problem.
Any suggestions ?
Try moving the pilot sensor over closer to the pilot flame, over time they tend to bend and move away from the flame, if this is not sensing the pilot it will not light. It is like a thermocoupler for your gas valve. Let me know if this works.

Cycling the external switch on the GMS series will not help you. That switch is for A/C only. At the unit found inside the house, remove the front cover. If there is a door switch, tape it closed. Now if the thermostat is calling for heat, the unit will cycle as you mentioned. When the unit does not start, check for a blinking light on the circuit board. After three unsuccessful tries, the light will blink a code (2 blinks then a pause up to 9 blinks than a pause). Make a note of how many blinks you see. On the reverse side of the access panel you will find a diagnostic schematic. It should tell you a fault code corresponding with your blinking. This will give you a starting point where to look. If the codes are not found there, check inside your owner's manual. Or you can call Goodman at 713-861-250.
Get back to us with those codes and maybe we can help you further.
