LG E500 i have the problem, webcam is not working in my laptop LG E500 please anyone help me out... everything is ok but webcam not turnning on....

First go to Control Panel, Hardware, Devices and look for your webcam. Go through the tabs to make sure it is Enabled. If you don't see your webcam, or you can't click enable, then you will need to reload the software drivers, either from disc or the Logitech website. Once you think you have it working you may want to reboot your computer, and then try the free webcam test tool.

Try reinstalling your webcam drivers that came with it. If you do not have them, you can try to download them from the LG website or use a driver finder program.

insert the cd driver

speak portugues

Just press FN+F10. It'll activate the webcam.

If the screws keep on turning, do what I do when a screw gets stripped. In the case of a laptop, it may work.

Use a flat heat screwdriver and try to pry underneath the screw while turning the screwdriver. In a PC it works like a charm, give it a try on the laptop.

LG LGR40 laptop has no display. Cooling fan works. Processor and VGA chips heat up normally. Indicators are also ok. Power supply is ok. Anyone can suggest a chip level based repairing of it?

I know this sounds a bit obscure but try following these excact steps.


shut down the computer.
remove battery and ac
reinsert ac
turn on computer and imediatly press F2 several times to access BIOS.
go furthest right in the menu and choose to "set default valuse"
save and exit.
boot up computer completly
shut it down again
insert battery
boot up
try the YouCam software wich should now activate the camera and make the led light up orange.


(i actually had a computer of the same kind you have for the same problem yesterday, and i found this solution wich worked here on fixya)

download camera driver from www.lg.com website and install on your laptop

Hi please try to reinstall the software for your webcam.. note...first uninstall the software then reboot system then install the software then reboot again then connect the cam on your laptop... Please rate.. have a nice day...
