SOURCE: Can't change Lexmark Z42 ink cartridge

You can unplug the printer from the power source. With the printer off, open the cover where the cartridge carrier is. Hold the solid white tape found in the middle inside the printer. Slowly drag the cartridge carrier to the center. Replace the cartridges. Close the cover. Plug printer back to the power source. Hope this helps.

Empty carriage stuck in my HP 7500A printer

    Hello,Lester Makang
Your carriage got stuck in service station,is there any noise coming from the right side of printer then there will be broken gear.
Power on your printer, after you got carriage jam error open cartridge access door and wait 5 second when you see that gears trying to move, use your hand to pull your carriage to left side.Don't use much force. If your carriage got free then install your print head and cartridges. If this will happen again then take it to service center they will change the service station or broken gear but the cost goes much high.

HP Photosmart C3180 carriage permanently stuck on right. How to fix this?

    Hi,

If the carriage totally stuck on the right side of the printer, Unplug the printer from Power outlet.

Open the front access door. You will see the cartridges. Remove the cartridges. Check for any paper stuck in the Carriage Rod. Try to manually move the carriage 5-6 times left to right and it should move without any trouble. Put the cartridges back into the Cartridge slot and power on the printer

If the Carriage does not move manually, there could be chances the printer needs mechanical repair as its broken.

Printer says "Open Door Clear Cartridge Jam" How

You might wanna try removing and reinserting the cartridges and make sure that they are properly fitted in.
Sometimes cleaning the cartridge and the carriage where you took out the cartridges from with a damp lint free cloth does the trick.
If you still have that message, open the cartridge access door.
If the carriage is stuck at the right side of the printer, move the carriage to the left side by hand. If it's stuck on the left side, try moving it by hand in the right side of the printer. Then while the printer is turned on, unplug it from the wall outlet and then plug it back in.
If the printer does not turn on, use the power button.
    Try printing again.
