Self oven cleaner

I select oven cleaner and it does not turn on, nothing happens. Usually in the red illuminated square box a lit fan shows turning, I don't see that either.

Hi Debbie, this is AP

I understand you are having trouble getting the self-clean mode on your Electrolux ICON wall oven to start. On this model, E30EW86GSS, you must remove the rack supports in order for the self-clean mode to start. To remove the oven rack support for
a self-clean cycle, pull up the support to disengage them from the brackets. If the rack supports are not removed, the self-clean cycle won't start. If you find that this does not resolve your concern and you following the self-clean instructions precisely I would recommend contact a local authorized technician to inspect your wall oven. I you need assistance locating a technician please visit the manufacture website for additional information. I hope this information helps to some degree - thanks for your question, and please do not hesitate to reconnect if you have additional information regarding your question.
Thanks,

SOURCE: We have an Electrolux Icon

There is a small white plastic triangular switch that needs to be in the out position for the oven to recognize that the racks have been taken out. Look at the back left side WITHIN the upper rack support channel. (This is not the small U-shaped piece that can be seen slightly lower on the wall oven.) If the switch is still depressed, with power turned off at the breaker, depress the switch using a small screwdriver. It should pop outwards to the proper "racks out" position. When we had this problem and recycled the power, we again got the signal. Husband switched to a nonconductive tool and repeated the depressing/releasing of the switch while the oven was giving the "remove racks" command. It sensed that all was well and now operates properly. If this does not fix the problem, you may have to replace a board $$$.

I have a Bosch oven with the "key" sign constantly lit and the oven won't function at all. Re set it at wall etc.

the key sign shows that the child lock is engaged. to unlock, usually you push and hold the lock button for a few seconds. the correct button is usually a dual function and so marked. if you need more help, go to manualsonline.com and look up your model number for your manual. good luck

I have a frigidaire self clean electric oven but I am not sure how to operate the self clean

lock the oven door lever to self clean side, and turn it on self clean - it should shut off automatically when cycle is complete.

BE CERTAIN NOTHING IS IN THE OVEN WHEN YOU TURN IT ON AS IT LOCKS SHUT!

ALSO CHECK TO BE SURE NO ONE USED CHIMERICAL CLEANER IN IT PRIOR -- DANGEROUS FUMES WOULD BE A RESULT

Best regards

I cleaned my self-cleaning oven yesterday and today it won't heat up. Can you help me out?

hello,

Here are solution on how to clean up your oven below.

Self Cleaning
  • 1 Remove oven racks and soak them in soapy water.
  • 2 Turn on your automatic oven cleaner; this usually entails locking the door and turning the function switch to "clean."
  • 3 Let the oven do its work;it will heat for several hours, charring off baked-on foods.
  • Fast Cleaning
  • 1 Remove oven racks and place them in soapy water to soak.
  • 2 Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
  • 3 Turn the oven off and spray the inside with oven cleaner.
  • 4 Allow to sit for 10 minutes.
  • 5 Wipe the cleaner and dirt away with a damp sponge, rinsing frequently.
  • 6 Dry with a soft cloth.

I do not know how to start the self cleaning process. I lock it, but no light comes on to show it is locked...and when I turn both dials to clean, nothing happens.

There is an interlock switch that engages (or is supposed to) when you operate the locking lever in the self-cleaning cycle. This starts the self-cleaning process. It sounds like the interlock switch may be bad. Make sure you have selected the Clean cycle.

However, before calling for repair, disconnect power from the appliance for about 30 minutes, turn it back on and try again.

If still no luck and you are sure you have slected the correct cycle, then it may be time for repairs.

Self cleaning oven the fan will not go off after

Self cleaning ovens usually use very hot temperatures. Therefore if your fan is designed to help your oven cool, it will run until your oven is cool. Leave it running until your oven is cool and it should stop. It it does not let me know.

Oven will not work - Hi/Lo broiler works fine

you have a bad bake ignitor. it is mounted to the long tube in the very back wall of the tube. usually held on by 2 1/4 inch bolts. usually if you replace the ignitor you have to cut the old one off and hard wire the new one in depending on what the new connection on you ignitor look like.
