I have a simpson EZI set 750 went to use this morning turned machine on nothing happened no lights on panel

There was a recall on the lid switch which gave me a low voltage shock each time I touch the lid, I got it replaced under the recall but to be honest the machine is poorly built. Mine developed rust on it just after the warranty ran out, now it beeps randomly, leaks water back in after cycle is finished & makes a noise when the drum is trying to turn. Never again will I buy a Simpson or Electrolux product, you spend more than $700 for it to only last such a short time is very discouraging.
