MINE IS DOING THE EXACT SAME THING. ALL I DID WAS TAKE BATTERY OUT AND PUT BACK IN. NOW A BEEP AND ALL 5 LIGHTS FLASH. LET ME KNOW IF YOU SOLVED THIS !!
Check continuity of the 4 small wires that connect to the control panel to the control board. They seem to break where they flex for the door to open and close.
Mine won't beep at all. But try this trick I watched the guy do when he came to service mine for the recall they had and push Humid button fan button and power button first hold the first two then push the power button and hold all three for awhile. What this did for him was verify all systems working all the lights came one in sequence.
I do this to mine and will beep twice and nothing else. I've taken mine apart to check the fuse and it's still good so there must be a component that is not working.
On the back of your unit you will find a 800 number which will get you in touch with Trans Global Service which serviced it for the recall.
Hi: Have the power supply checked for puffy capacitors that are swollen on their tops. This is a common problem with LCD televisions. The problem is the five volt standy voltage is to low to turn the set on or operate the Micro. These caps are usually valued at 1500u,voltage rating of 10-16volts. some units use 3300uf rated at 10 volts for theirs capacitors. I suggest you use 2200uf rated at 16 volts.
Turn the unit off by pressing and holding the volume button till it powers down (NOT VIA THE IGNITION SWITCH!) Once off, press and hold the fuction button (located in the top left hand corner near the volume dial) until unit lights up again and a menu appears, near the end of that menu you can change the beep noises to off like volume or when ignition is off but unfortunatly you cannot change the beep for changing track.
