Bad news -most probably the gears inside the lens mechanism have broken. On power up if you hear a motor whirring but no movement in the lens - this is what has happened.
The gears break due to the lens receiving a knock.
If you are up for it you can try to source a replacement for spares - the same model but with a different fault. Replacement of the lens mechanism is tricky but not imposible if you have some small screwdrivers and good eyesight.
theres no way to fix a broken lens if its what i think,
you will have to bring to a repair shop.
but i advise you; the assembly lens commes whit the optical block it cost a bundle may be you will have to by a new one the cost of the lens is probly more expensive then the cam it self......
Had a broken lens as well. As you're probably aware it's not really a lens but a protector like a watch crystal. So I went to a jeweler who said, "Oh I don't know, it's not a watch. Bla bla bla." I said I'm not going to hold you accountable. He said fine. He fixed it easily. $20.
That camera is not worth fixing (value on Ebay with everything is about $100.00). If the lens is stuck, try to push the lens to the opposite side that it is leaning (if it is). If that won't work, then as you turn on the camera pull on the lens, and see if it will be coaxed out. If that will not work, it may have broken pieces in the lens track, and thus it is jammed beyond repair. If all fails, sell on Ebay for what you can get. With everything with it, you may get over $30.00. If the LCD is good, that is what many will want it for. That is a large LCD, and easily broken.
The switch that looks if the lens cover is opened is broken, you will have to ask a repaircenter to replace the switch for you, as the camera won't function without it.
the switch is soldered on to a flex cable, thats quite difficult to solder by yourself.
