Rca m50wh74s turns on and off it has sound and picture about 1 minute on 30 seconds off it does this three times then its off until power button is pushed again

Replace CP150 on the deflection board and that should take care of the problem since it starts once in a wnile if it didnt start ever then you would need the 259296 flyback and the CP150 Capacitor.

blinking light indcate a processor shutdown.. the processor has detected a problem in safety circuits and shut down the set. common problem are flyback and horizotal ouptut transistor. the processor has a error log file. technicians can plug a specail computer and read those to determine problem

Sounds like a bad high voltage transformer (FBT). Call a service center.

yes what your describing is possibly a flyback which is very inexspensive and easy to fix. But I will need the model number of your RCA to be positive and tell you which flyback you need. So please respond to this same post with the model number and I will provide the proper info so you can repair the set without alot of exspense.
