it isnt working, i hv tried everything, removed the battery, checked the RAM, checked the video cable everything, m not able to get the solution...

Tried everything. Disassembled and reseated everything but still the problem is on. When I switch the power on, the fan starts running for almost 3 seconds.

I only can start the laptop early in the morning, when it has been off the whole night. It turns on and works perfect. But when I switch off and try to restart again, it fails. Maybe a motherboard problem?

Had the same problem, Removed the Hard Disk, Battery, and DVD combo drive. Reconnected the Hard Drive, Connected the power cable and booted up fine. Whilst computer still on put back the battery and DVD combo drive. Worked perfectly since.

Your problem is that a video cable has to be reseated in the connector:

Remove the battery, plug it in and and try to turn it on. If it turns on without the battery, the most probable cause is battery worn out.

I have a new violation 9053 and first time to charge the green light blinks for about 10 seconds and then goes off and thje battery is now dead it seems, no lights, no power

When you plug in the power cord is there any lightswhatsoever on the laptop, where the plug goes in or on the AC Adapter of thepower cord?

When you press the power button do you hear fans running, hard drive spinning, lights on the computer, hear any beeps or lights constantly blinking, hear theDvD/CD drive click and the light on the drawer of the DvD/CD turn on for asecond or two? If so the laptop is trying to boot or may have booted, butthe screen is not showing for some reason.

Beep tones and blinking lights tells the technicians what is going on with thelaptop and why it is not booting. Most times it's a motherboard issuewhen you hear beeps or blinking lights continuous.

Maybe your power cord is bad if you don't get anything to happen whatsoeverwhen you press the power button. And if that's true maybe you wasoperating off the battery the last time you had it on and since the power cordis bad, it was not charging the battery so the battery is drained and the powercord is bad.

Maybe you have a Static Charge Buildup. Remove the Power Cord, Remove theBattery, then Press and Hold the power button for 30seconds. After 30 seconds plug the power cord back in (leave the batteryout) and hit the power button to see if it boots. If it does, you can putthe battery back in and let it charge.

My samsung N150 power switch is not working

The Switch ON? Are you talking about the Power Button? If so it could be that your Power Cord is bad. Some models of the Power Cord has a light on it and some laptops light up somewhere when the power cord is plugged in and working.

You might have been working off your battery and if the power cord is bad it was not charging the battery and now nothing will work because the battery is completely drained.

If the power cord is good, you might have a Static Charge Buildup. Remove the power cord and the battery, then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds put the power cord back in (not the battery, leave it out) and press the power button. If it starts booting you had a Static Charge Buildup and can put the battery back in now.

If all fails, take an ink pen and stick it inside where the power cord goes. If it is not tight then the DC Power Jack is bad and need to be repaired. This will require a complete disassembly of your laptop.

Power button lights up for a second and goes out with nothing showing up on screen.

Try this immediate checkup. 1. Remove the battery from the laptop 2. Plug in the power plug to the laptop 3. Turn on the laptop 4. If the laptop will turn on properly, it means your problem is the battery. If not, Remove the power cable to the laptop. 5. Press ESC or F1 key for about 1-2 minutes. Hold on to the button while putting back the power cable and press the power button. 6. Release the ESC or F1 if the power comes up.

10 seconds shows that one component from laptop's motherboard is defect. Try to remove RAM memory, harddisk and dvd (If available) and put them back one by one to see which component is defect.
