i think the convergence amps are weak, or the akb circut has caused the tubes to go bad, google your model number to see if it is in the tube problem. sony made some projos w/ bad tubes in them. tv lasts only three or four years,no cause i had one
#1 problem for this TV. Check to see if your color wheel is spinning. The lamp will not light if the color wheel is not spinning. This color wheel goes bad easily.
no i would not even try it. you first of all would have to get at the tube and then you have to replace all the stuff on the tube then align the tube and then convergence, 800 bucks for three tubs isn't a bad price, however another couple hundred will buy you a new one...
just for giggles how about just replacing the blue, how much?
What type of connection are you using when connecting the DVD to the TV? (Component, Svideo, etc) You might want to first try a different connection from the DVD to the TV. Let me know if that works. Could be a bad cable also or a bad connection.
