L46wd22 flashing red lights 5 times

The red light (operation) flashing 5 times can be one of four things depending on the green light (timer) but the green light should flash at the same rate as the red light, not faster - either 2,3,5 or 6 times. Anything other than these is abnormal and you will need a tech to diagnose.
Could be a faulty controller board or compressor.

error code is model specific---some it means lamp door issue and others something else.

It could be many things that cause this. Try all inputs IE: DVD, cable etc. If it is doing this on all inputs, try unplugging the TV for 2 minutes to allow for a reset and then power it back up again. If it is still doing the disco flashing time to call fro a service technician...

Thats an error code, but I will need the model number to help you identify what the 5 blinks mean

have you gotten any resolution on this yet?

i also have the same problem with the flashing green light for a while then a different red light starts blinking on and off around 5 times....and i replaced my burnt bulb with a new one...still no picture.
