Replacing the Suction Hose on a Bissell SpotBot can be a challenging repair. We frequently get this question, how do you remove the old hose, so we decided to shoot a video repair demonstration on how to replace the hose assembly. This repair works for all Bissell SpotBot models in the 1200 Series, as well as the 7887, and some Little Green Machines. If you need to purchase a new Hose Assembly, you may find it on our website below:Bissell SpotBot Hose Assembly Part 203-6665
Here's the video showing how to replace the hose:
Please feel free to email us with any questions or clarification requests, and please be so kind and rate the video helpful if you found it to be. Thanks so much, Chris JonesGoVacuum
NONE of these answers apply to the question! The asker referred to the Bissell SPOTBOT, which doesn't have a push handle. I'd like to know how to remove the brush myself. I know how to remove the components but haven't been able to figure out how to remove the mechanism.

There is a very small, white water filter (approx. 3/8" in diameter/
1/8" thick) inside the "seat" where the solution tank connects to the
machine itself. Could very well be your problem if you are in a city
environment, or any other situation where hard water is present. This
is a very easy fix; discovered it when my wife experienced the exact
same problem.
1) Make sure other causes have been eliminated, such as clogged nozzles, etc. (Refer to owners manual.)
2) Ensure that the solution tank is indeed seating properly with the
machine, (a few small bubbles rise from the connection once made.)
3) Remove solution tank. With needle nose pliers or a very small
screwdriver, GENTLY remove the white filter from the black, movable
"seat" connection on the machine.
4) Run the machine on manual (without the filter) to determine if this
is indeed your problem. (Don't run for an extended period of time this
way if this actually is your problem. The filter is there for a
reason!)
5) Simply wash the filter gently between thumb and fore-finger.
Vinegar may be used, but simple tap water works as well. If clogged,
you should feel grainy, hard water type scale/ lyme build-up when
cleaning the filter.
6) Recycle the original filter or replace if necessary. (It would be
very easy to make a new one without going through the hassle of dealing
with OEM parts or Bissell. Just go to your local hardware store and
they should be able to help you out with no problem.)
I had the same problem, and found that the culprit was that the small filter element. about the size of a dime, that sits arount the nozzle activator (pin that depresses the clean water nozzel) was clogged with "gunk", and prevented cleaning solution from flowing into the unit.. It is easy to remove with a pair of tweezers or needle nose pliars.. rise it under water and reseat in the unit. You shoudl be aboe to perform the whole process in under a minute. This has happend to me several times... and am surprised the filter is not mentioned in the manual.
Per the manual, periodically you should clean the rubber lining in the dirty water tank(it comes out). I found mine a little dirty, but after cleaning it, it solved my 'all lights flashing' problem.
I have a feeling is this the solution for most people whose manual mode works fine but, automatic mode stops with lights a' flashing. Why manual still works though is a mystery to me. You'd think all modes wouldn't work then.
