I cant configure Edimax BR-6104K router with PLDT auto-connect DSL

I have a problem in configuring my EDIMAX router with a new PLDT dsl plan because my DSL doesnt have a Username and Password. Ive tried manually typing the ip, subnet, gateway and dns server in the FIXED IP configuration of the router it works for me but when i turned off the modem and router for 2 hrs and turned it on again and wait for it to for 5mins to communicate with each other then itry to go to and there's no internet again.  the call center agent told me that my DSL is an auto-connect plan so it doesnt have a username and password. can someone help me in setting the router? thank you

Try set the Edimax router to accept a Dynamic IP from the ISP - cause I guess they provide it to you changed everytime you disconnect.

If u have a pldt dsl connection which is always on there's no problem connecting to internet..because your router has all the capability to provide automatic ip addressing to all pc's connected to its lan port..even if you'll not configure your router if your router is set to default setting of DHCP enable sure you can access the internet...this is what you gonna do..configure your pc by running NETWORK SETUP WIZARD in the control panel and from there just follow the instruction on how to set your network..from the select connection method..choose this computer connects to the internet through a residential getway..if you are using a router then press next give the computer description and a computer name then press next..give a workgroup sure that all your pc in the network should have the same workgroup name...let's say MSHOME or whatever name you want...then press next again then on the file and printer sharing choose turn on or turn off depending on what you would want it to be..i suggest choose turn off first anyway you will not use to share printer the first time...just turn it on later if you want...then press next again then next again t ready to apply network settings..then wait for ure pc to install necesarry files then choose JUST FINISH THE WIZARD..then press next again then you're FINISH. that's all..reboot...then go to network connection and right click local area connection and press properties choose internet protocol TCP/IP then press properties choose OBTAIN AN IP AUTOMATICALLY then press ok and then press CLOSE that's all...then open yur browser and log on to yahoo and i'm sure you can get it. thanks

EdiMax Br-6482nS doesnt give internet

A router is only used to connect devices together in a LAN (local area network). In order to get out to the internet you also will need a modem (cable or dsl depending on your service) You will also need to pay for service through an ISP (Internet Service Provider)

I have a pldt plan 990, edimax br6428ns wireless router, se260 modem. can not connect to internet.

your internet provider provides a ip address.then configure your router to static and enter the ip that they gave to you and just set dhcp enable..then test if you have internet connection.after that setup your a password to your router.

I am trying to configure my netgear router to work with my dsl motorola modem

You can access your wireless router by first running you ethernet cable from pc to wireless, then in address bar, type and this will enter the wireless router's software. If it asks for username and password, try typing admin for both.

No internet connection

This should be connected as so. From wall outlet to DSL modem, from DSL modem to D-Link router, From D-Link router to Laptop via wireless or wired connection. You will still need the DSL modem installed but the wire coming from the DSL modem will go to uplink port on the router instead of into the laptop.

-- who is your internet service provider
-- what is the operating system of your computer?
-- is this working fine before or is this a brand new router

you may try this and see if this help solve your problem. make sure your computer is directly connected to the router

Step 1: Shutdown the computer.
Step 2: reset the router while power on then Unplug the router’s power cable.
Step 3: Unplug the Broadband modem’s power cable and wait for 30 seconds.
Step 4: Plug in the Broadband modem’s power cable and wait for its lights to appear stable.
Step 5: Plug in the router's power cable once the modem’s lights appear stable.
Step 6: Power on the computer on and configure the router settings
Step 7: test the Internet connection.

if this still didnot work, upgrade the firmware of your router and repeat the same steps.

configuring the router settings will depends who is your provider. if your isp is dsl you need to configure your ISP username (email address format) and password on the router. if your router is a cable no need to change any settings on the router. it should automatically work

if you are still having trouble configuring your device, try to call supportrix

Try to manually configure the router by accessing it user interface:
type the router's ip on the address bar of the pc that is conencted to the router the default ip of the router is just leave the username blank and type in "admin" for the password.

Since you're using DSL connection set the router to PPPOE and type the username and password for your DSL account tne save it.
