Cant turn off or do any fuctions

needs a new t control board

try replacing the batteries to the remote
look for reset on remote, most of the time when you remove the batteries from th remote should reset it self, while the batteries are out of the remote just push a few buttons to make sure the device is out of power than replace the batteries with new one. you mite have to turn on tv manual and than start using the remote, if that fails. than contact the manufacture ask for service and talk to a service techn.

on all tv you need to select the input port ( plug ) av or hdmi or s-video
this is done from the remote or menu fuction on the tv
select the input ( source )

I had the same problem. It has nothing to do with power supply board. Its the switch assembly board on the side of the set. Once I disconnected the board everything was fine including the remote fuctions.

As the remote is not working please

1.check the batteries are properly installed with correct polarity.(+ and -)

2.Check weather correct remote operating is set.(TV,VCR etc)

If both are OK then please programm your remote again with the TV.As you removed your battries it might reset the code



When using buttons on TV it says CHILD LOCK is ON.

Child lock fuction is to prevent children operating buttons in TV console. This can be set only by remote. Cannot set by TV console Buttons.If this fuction is activated you cannot use the TV console buttons.

Step 1: Remove the batteries

Step 2: Press the power button (red button) on the remote control 5 times.

Step 3: Replace the batteries and your remote should work fine.

To turn off the "stuck" pip on a Panasonic tv without a remote, turn off the tv. Then hold down the "Action" button on the front of the tv and press the power button. This will activate a reset and self check of the systems and voila! The pesky pip screen will be gone! This is on an approximately 10 year old regular crt "CT-xxxxx" series tv.

Try leaving it out of the power overnight. Also, check all the cable connections.
