Trying to repair a belling model no. 444449577, bottom oven fault. Any adjustment on the oven temperature control trips out the main RCD. Suspect element burnt out. But physically it looks OK?
Check for short to ground or for no resistance on heating element with DVM "Digital Meter" If meter is not available try this - With circuit breaker turned off disconnect wires to bottom heating element - put caps on wires or otherwise islotate the connections from any metal. Turn breaker back on and adjust temp on oven if RCD does not trip then the element is bad "Shorted" replace element. Element can be shorted to ground or shorted internally. I cant get my oven to stay on model # FFEF3015LSM after a few minutes is turning oven on, it starts to beep and screen says F30
It looks like the probe is the same as the temperature sensor.

On some models, you can recalibrate the oven control up to 35 degrees Fahrenheit higher or lower. Refer to your owner's manual for instructions on how to recalibrate the oven control.

Since you're getting an error message the following may apply:

OPEN PROBE CONNECTION
1. (F30 or F31) Check resistance at room temperature & compare to RTD Sensor resistance chart. If resistance does not match the RTD chart replace RTD Sensor Probe. Check Sensor wiring harness between EOC & Sensor Probe connector.

SHORTED PROBE CONNECTION
2. (F30 or F31) Check resistance at room temperature, if less than 500 ohms, replace RTD Sensor Probe. Check for shorted Sensor Probe harness between EOC & Probe connector. .

Belling oven xou60mf not switiching on
Sometimes I had it where the lamp holder in the oven has a short and then welds the contact on the function switch. If you replace the complete lamp and holder and function switch for the oven. 3 time last year on bellings this happened. To try disconnect the two wire on the lamp holder then if it doesn't trip you no that's it make sure you turn the oven off and don't touch the wires together when u turn back on.

You need to check the continuity of the wires from the mains plug to the main heating coil. This means that the switch and the circuit to the heating coils will confirm the short. If the heating element is short then the main line should be removed to confirm the short and so the circuit will not trip.

Hi.

Replace the temperature probe located in the oven cavity. The probe was initially shorted. That caused temperature runaway with the oven getting too hot. After a while the shorted sensor blew completely staying open all the time. That is resulting in no heat.

If the temperature sensor has already been replaced, then problem is either wiring or oven electronic control. Wiring harness is tested checking continuity between different points.

Main oven causes trip switch to trip out when `I turn the dial to switch on. Top oven is fine.
Likely the element is shorted in the main oven. The Calrod elements short usually at the bends and if the breaker doesn't trip they burn a hole in them and arc. You can USUALLY see a different discoloration at teh failure point. Check both upper and lower elements as preheat probably uses both. Use a dental mirror if necessary to see under and over. Use bright light.
